Is your phone a smart phone?? Does it have something called ambient light sensor (light sensor).??? Check your phone manual. If that is the case then you can turn it off. Ambient light sensor is a function that senses the light outside and automatically adjust the brightness of the screen. But sometimes it goofes up. So you can go to settings> display settings> brightness> if it is auto then turn it to manual as per your convenience. Again depending on your phone model the settings may vary. I hope this helps.
My son's had dropped his t-mobile so many times it did the same thing. I was able to order the touch screen from amazon for $18 then I looked up on YouTube how to replace the screen and it was very easy to replace by watching the video. I think this is the cheapest fix for your problem.
There is a little rectangle shape thing next to the lg logo on the top of the fone screen. If this is blocked by screen protector it will cause the phone to blank of during calls. Its a power saver that blanks the phone when its near your face. Try it. Take off the screen protector & make a call. Then place your finger over the little thing & the screen goes blank. Just cut a lil space in the screen protector & that will fix the problem
Did the phone drop from you? anyway, the screen of your Bold 9000 is malfunctioning, i suggest you get a torx 6 screw driver by your side.
Turn off your phone, remove the battery cover and battery.
Turn the fone over and remove the front cover with your screw driver, pull off the front cover and afirm the LCD screen very well to the panel of the phone, recouple back to test, if it is still same thing, i suggest you change the LCD screen of your Bold 9000.
But if you can do all this, i advive you get a technician or somebody who can do it for you.
get worn out and break from daily use. The Motorola Razr is no
exception. While this phone may be durable against minor accidents, it
can still stop working without warning. From a blank screen to water in
the phone, there are a few simple methods you can use to try and fix
your phone before you pay for costly repairs or resort to buying a new cell phone. Try these tricks to get your phone working again.
Check your warranty. If the phone is still under warranty, contact your cell phone provider to get it fixed for free.
the phone off. Take the back cover off the phone. Remove the battery
and reinsert it. Replace the cover and turn the phone on. Sometimes the
phone will begin working again with this simple step.
Turn the phone off and back on if the phone will turn on but won't work or has a blank screen.
a new battery if the phone won't stay charged. Check that your phone's
charger isn't broken or damaged. Make sure the phone says "Charging"
when the charger is plugged into the phone.
the phone has been dropped in water, take off the back cover and remove
the battery. Dry the phone with a paper towel and a hair dryer on the
lowest heat setting. Stop every two to three minutes and let the phone
cool down before starting again. Wait three days, then reassemble the
phone and try to turn it on
Nokia sometimes has a glitch where if the battery is too low it will not start properly again. Let it charge for some time when turned off - a couple hours, so it has enough battery power then remove the battery for 5-10 minutes, put the battery back in and try start it. What this does is re-sets the phone so it can start again. Also if there are problems during use that solution usually fixes it as well. What is happening is due to a low battery it tries to resume where it left off and cannot load itself properly to do so. Letting it go completely dead with no battery for a few minutes lets it drop it's old info and reload it's info to work again.
I feel your pain. My g1 droped, the screen cracked, now 3 weeks later my screen turns black. Not even turning it off or removing the battery for hours changes this. However, i found if you wiggle the screen just right sometimes you can get your screen back... for a little bit.
What I would do is turn it off completelly for a few minutes. take out the battery and let it cool down for a few minutes. If you have a battery that if fully charged put it back in and turn on your phone. if your battery is not totally charged, charge it. A phone whose battery is not fully charged may cause your phone to flip out. sometimes it's also water damage to the phone that causes it to turn off on its own.
Water damage happends from body heat, from taking it to the bathroom when you're in the shower, or from putting it directly in water.
Not sure what pricing you are seeing, but sometimes it can be less expensive to purchase a used device and cannabilize the screen. This also often lets you have extra parts, battery and accessories for less than the cost of just a screen.
I have also heard that you may be able to get a replacement screen for under $40.00 from RMS Logistics (214-459-9988).
Make sure you are comfortable opening up the phone and performing this work. From someone with some comfort with tools it is not too bad, but you have to make sure to keep track of all cables, wires and screws or you can get goofed up.
