Probably a bad water inlet assembly. Easy to replace.

Check the shutoff vale under the sink where your dishwasher water line is connected to ensure it is full open. Also, check for a kinked water line to the dishwasher.

Dish washer will not fill

Good Afternoon Joe - Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like the hoses could be kinked or blocked or clogged water screens. If you've cleared the water screen and/or unblock any kinked water hoses, and the problem still persist after the previous troubleshooting and repairs, the unit may need a main control board replacement. At this point, I would recommend contacting a professional for a further evaluation.

Kenmore 17379 dishes are not clean after running a cycle

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound. If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve.

Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete.
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.

Water does not fill the machine. If I put water in the machine, it cleans perfectly. The water line is turned on.

Check the hose for kinks, check if there is a screen in the hose that is clogged, remove the hose from the machine and turn the water on, see if water flows from it, listen to hear if the inlet solenoid is operating.

My dishwasher won't fill with water

There can only be these reasons:
1 Water valve shut off
2 Door not locked in
3 water relay/solenoid valve broke or inoperable
4 Plastic lines kinked for supply
5 Filter for water clogged.
I'm thinking number 3 or number 5 Hope this at least gives you some things to look at.

This means that the outlet valve or the drain motor is faulty or their is a leak in the pipe between them and the machine.

Your drain m ay be clear but it sounds as though the dishwasher line may now be clogged, remove the dishwasher drain line from the trap below the sink and check for leaks. You drain nthe dishwasher into a bucket.
