Hello Folks,

This is for those of you with the E3 error code.

Canon is kind of vague in their description of this one.
There may be too much paper loaded. Take some out.
Canon suggests turning the device off then back on to reset it. (Don't shoot the messenger, I'm trying to help)

Click here if you'd like to see the Canon page referencing this error.

If this doesn't help you, I'd prefer you not give a rating. Thank you

5802 error

This error code is related to a print head problem. Take out each of the ink cartridges one at a time and reinsert them. Next, go to the Maintenance menu of the printer and run the 'print head cleaning' cycle. If there is a 'deep cleaning' option run that, too. If none of the cleaning cycles fix the error code you can try removing each ink cartridge and cleaning the gold contact plate with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. Be careful not to leave any cotton fragments behind and allow the alcohol to completely dry before reinserting the cartridges.

Canon pixma mx432 printer error 5100

I have a Canon mx432 that was new, but gave me a 5100 message that I couldn't clear. I cleaned the transparent belt that guides the print cartridges, and now it works great. I spent hours on it until I cleaned that strip - - nothing else worked

An error occured we cannot print a document which the orange light was blink semoustanousely

Damage canon printers, can be identified from the number of lights blinking in orange. So, you calculate, how many times the orange light is blinking. Example E2, E3, E4, E5, E8, E9, E13, E14, E15, etc.

the error code E13 = The following ink may have run out black/color

Press and hold the Reset button about 10 second. E13 error on canon pixma, occurs twice. E13 for black cartridges, and E13 for the color cartridges

The orange light on pixma iP4300 is flashing 5 times. I have cleaned the printhead (gold contacts) with alcohol PJ

Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water or a mixture of hot water and isopropyl alcohol
Use it to clean the print head and the electronic contacts on each ink cartridge
Once done, allow to dry and try again
If the error still persists, you have a damaged print head which needs to be replaced with a new one
Hope this help!

I have a Canon Pixma MP 240 printer. It's been out of black ink. I installed a new ink cartridge. Now, there's an "E3" flashing on the screen. And it won't print anything.

Error E3 indicates that there is a paper jam.

Firstly remove the ink cartridge you have just installed and check to see if there are any bits of paper underneath that.

Secondly check the rest of the printer for any jams paying careful attention to any rollers as small bits of paper can get stuck to them.

E3 but no paper

try to do a reinstall on your drivers and reboot. Set your printer as a default printer.
set all the settings to default.
Have a roller cleaning, and other maintenance task for your printer.
And also try to reconnect your ink cartridge. =)
