SOURCE: Bosch Dishwasher won't fill with water
Certainly *sounds* like the float is stuck in the over filled position
or possible a bad float switch, if the float is stuck in the up or full position, the d/w will not fill with water and the drain motor will often run all the time
SOURCE: Water does not drain from
I pulled the unit out and it turned out that the contractor pinched the drain hose between the back of the unit and the wall. Before, I was erroneously informed that the unit went through a complete washing cycle OK after the installation, so I did not expect the pinched hose.
SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher cleans but will not drain.
Remove the drain hose where it attaches to the disposal. This area often clogs and will prevent any d/w from draining.
SOURCE: My Bosch SHX46A05UC/14 is 7 years old and is not
Hi, I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

SOURCE: I have a Bosch SHX46A05UC/33 5-cycle dishwasher
Hi,
Some SHX46A washers have 4 cycles and others have 5 cycles.
I'm fairly sure your model has the hidden buttons on the top of the door and you stated you have five-cycle buttons, in which case they will be as follows.
1. Top Rack only cycle or Sanitize
2. Power Scrub Plus
3. Regular Wash
4. Delicate Wash
5. Rinse and Hold.
These buttons are also used for cancelling a wash cycle. Hold down "Power Scrub Plus" and "Delicate" at the same time to cancel a cycle and drain the water out.
If your washer does have 4 buttons, it means you don't have a Top Rack / Sanitize cycle, in which case the button configuration (from left to right) will be:
1. Power Scrub Plus
2. Regular Wash
3. Delicate Wash
4. Rinse and Hold.
I hope this solves your problem. If you need any additional information, please post back.
Regards,
BElectric
