SOURCE: Bosch Dishwasher won't fill with water

Certainly *sounds* like the float is stuck in the over filled position
or possible a bad float switch, if the float is stuck in the up or full position, the d/w will not fill with water and the drain motor will often run all the time

SOURCE: Water does not drain from

I pulled the unit out and it turned out that the contractor pinched the drain hose between the back of the unit and the wall. Before, I was erroneously informed that the unit went through a complete washing cycle OK after the installation, so I did not expect the pinched hose.

SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher cleans but will not drain.

Remove the drain hose where it attaches to the disposal. This area often clogs and will prevent any d/w from draining.

SOURCE: I have a Bosch SHX46A05UC/33 5-cycle dishwasher

Hi,

Some SHX46A washers have 4 cycles and others have 5 cycles.

I'm fairly sure your model has the hidden buttons on the top of the door and you stated you have five-cycle buttons, in which case they will be as follows.

1. Top Rack only cycle or Sanitize
2. Power Scrub Plus
3. Regular Wash
4. Delicate Wash
5. Rinse and Hold.

These buttons are also used for cancelling a wash cycle. Hold down "Power Scrub Plus" and "Delicate" at the same time to cancel a cycle and drain the water out.

If your washer does have 4 buttons, it means you don't have a Top Rack / Sanitize cycle, in which case the button configuration (from left to right) will be:

1. Power Scrub Plus
2. Regular Wash
3. Delicate Wash
4. Rinse and Hold.

I hope this solves your problem. If you need any additional information, please post back.

Regards,
BElectric

Bosch SHU9915UC won't start. all lights come on but unit doesnt start. is there a reset button somewhere in this unit?

Reset the dishwasher by pressing and holding the "Start" button for at least three seconds. Depending upon the Bosch dishwasher model you have, you also can push the "Cancel-Reset" button to reset the dishwasher. Select a new cycle and press "Start."

When troubleshooting my shx46a05uc bocsh diswasher it show a flashing light on the delicate/Eco button and regular wash light stays on. What does that tell me?

sounds like the electronic switch usually a Thyristor is not switching when you push the eco button, You could try disconnecting the the machine from the mains then push the buttong in and out a few times to see if the push button has a bit of dust on the contacts..

Water will not come out of spraybars when turned on. water supply intact.

you could try removing the wash arms and cleaning out the jets, if that doesnt cure it , then your pump may either be jammed or goosed

Wash cycle stopped with water in the bottom. Seems like there is no power. Can't get lights on cycles buttons to turn on. Power button does nothing. Checked circuit breakers. All are on. Lights and outlets...

Check the wiring in the units junction box. Its located at the bottom right corner. You will likely find melted connectors. If so, you need to cut the wires back and replace these connectors. Make sure you turn the power off before doing any of this work of course. Good Luck.

Bosch SHX46A05UC/30 runs for 4 hours.

The circut board in the biege plastic case under the buttons on the right has what is called a cold solder. In other words the solder melts under operational use. Some are repairable and some are not.

1. UNPLUG DISHWASHER or turn off breaker and test for electricity.
2. Remove screws from door panel.
3. Take pic of position of wires going into plastic box.
4. Remove top section of plastic box with buttons exposing small circut board.
5. Open plastic box exposing large circut board and in the middle of it you will see a black spot where the solder has popped. Resolder and reassemble OR replace old circut board and then reassemble.

A new circut board is about $135
Usually electrical parts are not returnable
