Driver Detective... well the past 10 years I've never used any driver detective program and my computers work well.

There are no major changes done in device drivers, unless you have a problem with your computer then you should consider checking for updated drivers, but certainly a "Nvidia nForce serialATA controller" which controls the hard drive, the driver should not be updated unless the machine is not working.

The machine is working so please don't update the driver.

Please stop paying for driver detective, it doesn't actually do much good.

well I installed driver detective to my computer, its telling I have 7 out of date drivers, but my computer works perfectly - theres no need to upgrade the drivers if everything you do with the computer is working.

Satellite PSAGCA-06M01N keeps restarting when i try to upgrade windows

Computer randomly restarts is not something unique happened to you. Sometimes there is a dreadful total crash of the system and sometime it sends different errors, upon restarting nothing happens.

-- First of all disable the auto-restart option from your control panel settings
-- Remove any recently installed maliciously software/add-on or any other application or toolbar.
-- Try to cool down your PC as the overheating due to overuse of computer may result in system freezing and sudden restarting.
-- Update your BIOS.
-- Update the drivers
-- Make it sure the error is not caused by the deficient power supply. You may try to change the power supply.
-- Conduct the registry clean up scan for quick fix of the problem.
-- Remove flashy games and/or untrusted antiviruses/antispywares. Conduct the security scan through the most powerful scanners only.
I would recommend to use a system utility tool like PCFresher to fix windows errors and registry errors. Then try updating hope problem is fixed.

Reinstall factory settings using Functions keys on a toshiba

Without a re-install disk, you are unable to re-install windows. The function key is most likely F2 or F10, 11, or 12. It is also possible that it could be the delete button.

Everytime I do a windows update, it either crashes or hangs on "shutting down" (after leaving it on all night!). Then I lose everything. Help!

you have to be more spacific on what you are doing and what os you are using. Are you using Windows 7 or Vista. If you are using vista, Dont. upgrade to windows 7, it's worth it. but everything else aside, try different ways of installing the updates. you can download the updates manually and install them other then just letting automatic updates do everything.

I have a compaq presario laptop with windows vista, 2 weeks ago it was working fine and now it loads up fine but crashes everytime i try something, what can i do appart from wiping off and starting again

Hi. I think the best to resolve this issue is to restore again your system to its factory settings or reformat again your system, then after doing it you should disable the automatic updates from the control panel so that you're system would not automatically update itself, because most of the time Vista crashes because the updates it made and sometimes you tend to shutdown your system without finishing the updates from microsoft then it would cause that crash the next time you open up your system. To disable the automatic updates just go to control then click classic view on the upper left side then look for the Windows Update icon on the control panel, and from ther just turn off the automatic updates. I would also suggest that if you to maintain the automatic update you should make sure that the updates are already finish before you shutdown your computer or you could change the schedule of the updates depends on what date have you chosen. Hope This Helps
