Why not leave the original jacks in place, cut the wires near the old speakers and new speakers and just replace the speakers, using 2 scotch lock connectors to connect the 2 wires to each speaker. (Keep polarity consistent for each speaker). Of course you should test one speaker first to make sure they will work with your unit, before you cut any of the remaining wires. You can always connect the originals back as long as there is a bit of slack in the wire.

SOURCE: My Boston Acoustics BA735 speakers does not fit to my new Dell VISTA PC

As long as you can find a compatible plug that fits, it would not be hard to adapt it...some soldering of course is needed or just connect it using the wires if it came with wires. Just take note of the polarity though.

You don't need a software driver for the speakers.

SOURCE: Are these speakers adaptable with my Compaq Presario PC?

Hello my friend, with regards to your problem first we must check if your currentl audio device is compatible with your speakers. I mean you have a 5.1 speaker then let us check if your audio plugs is also a 5.1 channel in order to accomodate your speaker. else you can istall your speaker in to your currentl audio device but not all speakers were work cause it needs to have the same specs from your speaker to your audion device installed in your computer.you can only use the green, and blue then if you have mic the you could used the pink plugs but for your black plugs in your speaker it cannot be used.

Is it possible to connect only my Logitech X230 Subwoofer to another speaker system which has a subwoofer out as a 3.5 mm jack? Edifier R1850DB is the speaker set which I'm gonna use for that.

No because the Line OUT to the Sub, won't accept a 3.5mm jack. Logitech audio will only work as one unit, you can't mix and match. They usually make it impossible to get inside them.

There is a static noise coming from my ipods speakers and earphones

Thank you for your question.

It sounds like the jack on your iPod is a bit dirty inside causing static. Here are some things to try, assuming that your tracks are all stereo and none of them are mono tracks.

Try this:

  1. Power the unit off and the speakers off it they have a power switch.
  2. Get some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.
  3. Pour a cap full of alcohol on the paper towel and grab the plug on your speakers.
  4. Twist the towel around tightly to clean the plug.
  5. Repeat this process on the earphone plug.
  6. Now take the speaker plug and push it in and out of the speaker jack about 20 times.
  7. Whatever you do, DO NOT pour any alcohol into the jack socket on the iPod itself.

If the problem continues, test your earphones and speakers with another product.

If they work fine, the jack in your iPod needs to be rewired.

If they don't work, then you may want to take your iPod, the speakers and earphones to your local Radio Shack store and show the Sales Associate what the problem is.

You may need to buy a stereo-to-mono audio adapter -OR- new headphones and new speakers.

If you still have problems after all of this, it may be time for a new iPod.

I have a panasonic dvd home theater sound system SA-HT930, and the dvd player, is broke can do nothing with it, need a new one but the plug between the ampli and the dvd wont fit on any new dvd theater...

Believe it or not there is a seller on eBay who offers a one-price fixit solution for your unit for $100.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Panasonic-SA-HT930-SA-HT940-Repair-Service-/360178573162?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53dc50df6a

That aside, these types of systems are designed as a package to be used as a unit. Otherwise they might have standard connectors. Another closely-related Panasonic SA-HT system might work for you but I doubt anyone manufactures anyhting to adapt non-standard speakers to standard electronics.

They actually say on page 9 of the manual:

"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit, and sound quality will
be negatively affected.

I would interpret that to mean 'use these speakers only with similar Panasonic electronics'.

I have a stereo with 8 track player, but I need speakers. The serial number is 22801907116. Where can I find some type of speaker to fit this?

Serial numbers aren't likely to bring much help, you must have a model number somewhere and once you have that, look for a downloadable manual if it is still to be found. With 8-tracks becoming rare, there may not be a manual available for it.

Pyramid 903G Booster/EQ no amplification

An equalizer and an amplifier are two very different things. The equalizer I have in my car only boosts the power by 12 Watts RMS, but that is not the point of it. I have the amps to power my speakers, and the equalizer for fine tuning the sound. You may want to see how much wattage this equalizer is going to add before you blame it. It may be doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
