Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know if your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC126P1, will drain if it is tilted at 5%. I also see that there is no water draining or collecting on the coils. When your air conditioner was installed, you would have wanted to make sure that the top rail and sliding panels at each side were offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear of (5/16"). This is necessary for proper condensed water utilization and drainage. If you are not using the Side Panels for any reason, this pitch to the rear must be maintained! I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

SOURCE: AC draining into neighbors window

we had this issue inside a warehouse, after carefully watching where the water exited the unit, we used a 3" pvc fitting to collect the water and then reduced it to 1" pvc and ran a drain line to a non-objectionable place. obviously if you are on the tenth story of a building this may not be an option... just an idea :)

SOURCE: water doens't drain properly and sitting there,

that's fairly common for window units, it's ok to drill a small hole in the underside of the case to drain the water, just be sure you don't puncture the condenser in the process.

SOURCE: Leaking water from underneath.

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. The drain should be in the back of the unit outside . If you lean the air conditoner slightly toward the outside it should drain outside.

SOURCE: there is no drain hole for water to drip outside.

These are designed to retain some water in the pan. This is for the slinger fan to throw water through the condensing coil. This helps the refrigerant cool and is important to the efficiency of the unit. I would certainly not recommend drilling a hole in the bottom. The hole may cause the water to roll somewhere where damage could occur. Try instead tipping the unit Backwards before bringing it in the house.

SOURCE: Ac is tilted out but water still drains in

check the drain hole located on the outside rear panel appx. 3/4" above the bottom of the units bottom plate to make sure it's not plugged with outside debris,if so depending how badly it's plugged you may be able to unplug the unit and rat out the drain hole with a wire rod carefully so as not to puncture anything inside the case,if not you may need to remove the entire cover and hose out debris

Water dripping from Friedrich Air Conditioner CP05 model annoying downstairs neighbour. Is there a drain hose for this model? Other solution?

Window unit A/C units must be mounted level side-to-side and slightly tilted down to the outside coil The condensation (water) that forms on the cooling coil drips from the coil and collects in a metal tray. The slight tilt of the case allows the water to drain toward the condenser coil and fan. The outside fan blade tip is positioned very close to the condensation water catch pan and the water is picked up by the rotating fan blade and thrown onto the condenser coil where it evaporates and accomplishes two things. This keeps water from dripping on the ground and lowers the head pressure of the system to improve the efficiency of the unit.

My frigidaire window a/c has a drain hole but it doesn't drain and it is not collecting any water near the coils. Why is it not draining?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC126P1, is not draining water or collecting water near the coils. When your air conditioner was installed, you would have wanted to make sure that the top rail and sliding panels at each side were offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear of (5/16"). Water is draining into my bedroom when a/c is on ihave a freidrich model#ss12j10ar-1? can it be fixed or should i just buy a new a/c?

Before you buy another one, check two things:

1. make sure the unit is tilted back in the window and not forward. The unit has to be tilted back away from the window about a half bubble on a level in order to drain out the back.

2. if the unit is tilted in the window properly and still draining out the front, you will have to take the case off the unit and wash it out good with a hose and sprayer. If the unit is not rusted out on the bottom, the drain is stopped up that drains the water from the front coil into the base of the unit. The water should be draining from the front to the back, and excess drains outside on the ground. Hopefully, it just needs a good cleaning. Hope this can save you from buying a new unit. Stay cool. Why is there no drain hole for condesation to drip out?

Some of the Friedrich units will drip out in the back of the unit. There may be just a small bend in the base of the unit allowing a certain amount of draining just behind the rear coil. Most units require some water to remain in the back of the unit to help cool the unit off. This is why tilting in the window is important. Be sure not to tilt it too much or too much water will drain, causing the unit to overheat. Be sure to tilt it enough to where the water can drain properly or the water may drain in the house, down the wall.

Need to know if I can connect a drain hose/tube to my air conditioner model # FAX054-P7A1. I'm having a problem with water collecting in the window sill/track

Hello, the first thing is make sure the AC is tilted a bit in the window, if it is level the water will collect toward the front of the unit and drip inside. Second if there is a drain hole on tne unit then you can connect a hose to it and let it drain. However if there is no drain hole then the unit uses tne fan blade to splash the water on the condenser and since the condenser is warm/hot it will condense the water.

Why does our LG air conditioning unit leaks? It's inside our room and the dripping water is damaging our wooden floor.. Please help.. thanks!

The drain is stopped up or the unit is not tilted back enough to drain out the back. If the drain is stopped up sometimes you can blow it out with compressed air from the bottom of the front coil. If the unit is not tilted enough in the wall or window it cannot drain out of the proper drain hole in the back of the unit. Hope this helps you.

Slings water out of the top where is drain on

The drain is in the rear of the air conditioner (outsid) so make sure the unit is tilted a few degrees toward the outside coil so that the collected water can be slung on the outdoor coil to make it more efficient as it should be.

My ac window unit does not seem to have any obvious drain hole or plug

DO NOT attempt to create a drain. As long as a window A/C unit is installed properly, (angled slightly down toward the rear) it will drain excess water over the rear lower lip of the unit should it get that high. Many models use some of the collected water/condensation. It gets lifted up by the fan blades to cool the coil.
