Dishwasher holds water at bottom after wash is done and cycle ends

Some water at the bottom of your dishwasher is ok. However if the water more than covers the bottom then you have a problem.
  1. First thing to try and this may fix the whole issue. Check the air-gap to see if their is a clog in the line.
  2. If your hose is clear change out your drain line and drain pump parts #99002750 and #99002652
That will fix it for sure. Have a great day!

Out of the blue our Jen-aire jdb1105aws doesn't want to power up. No lights, no cycles etc. Checked the plug etc and no tripped fuses. Any thoughts appreciated.

If there is power present on the controller but not outputting to the circuits then it is possible toi have the controller faulty which can be getting error messages/fault messages from the sensor or a failure of the main board..

We have hard water, is there a way to add something to our Jen air dishwasher to avoid the spotting?

Any Rinse-Aid product should work. We have domestic water at my house and it is a bit on the hard side. Will notice a difference when the Rinse-Aid is empty. You may check to see if it working on your unit. If it is extremely hard you may consider a water softening system.

LG Dishwasher

I can't say for sure, but it is possible this unit is deeper than previous units. The only way to tell for sure is to measure the previous unit and compare to this one.

I would be suspect there may be something simple preventing the dishwasher from going all the way back into the cavity of the cabinets. Maybe the water line is in the way, the power plug, etc. are in the way. You would have to pull the dishwasher out and look it all over to determine if his comments are true or not.

Dishwasher will not turn on. It is a jen air .

I little more information is needed to get specific, like model number and what is actually happening. But the basics need to be covered like:  Check the circuit breaker on the panel to see if the circuit breaker is on and working Move the on/off switch to see if there are mechanical problems with the switch itself  Read the manual for specific things that you can do to get your dishwasher to start Make sure that the door is closing properly and the door lock is working properly Check the bottom of the dishwasher to make sure that nothing has fallen out of the lower rack into the tub and gotten onto the heating element or jamming the float
Hope this helps.

Soap does not desolve

check that the spray arms are turning and that the holes in them are not clogged, if you line them up pointing towards the front let the machine fill then as it starts to wash open the door and you should see the arms slowing down, if they are okay then check the water level which should just lap the filter at the bottom
