SOURCE: car wont start

I noticed you replace the crankshaft sensor, but not the CAMshaft sensor.
The Ignition module takes the input of both sensors to tell the coil when to energize.
This sensor should come up as an error code when you attach a obd reader.
Even if your light is not on - there may be a code. If it is not your vehicle originally, some people pull the bulb!

SOURCE: misfiring at speed on gilera 200 scooter

This sounds more like a lean fuel condition than ignition. If it was stored over the winter without the gas being drained or a fuel stabilizer being added, you'll likely have varnish build-up in the fuel system that is not allowing sufficient fuel flow.  If your engine is fuel injected, it's likely your injector is partially clogged.  If it's carbureted, your carb jets may be partially clogged or your carb float may be sticking and not allowing the needle valve to fully open.  Fill the gas tank with fresh gasoline, but leave enough room for a can of Sea Foam.  The Sea Foam may be able to break up the deposits and allow fuel to flow again.  However, there's no guarantee and the fuel system may have to be disassembled to be cleaned.

SOURCE: Muculloch brush cutter wont start. No spark.

If you have correctly diagnosed the problem as no spark, you will need to replace the ignition module. Unfortunately McCulloch dealers and McCulloch parts are very hard to find these days. If yoou do not have a dealer in yoour are who has the part you need, contact southern supply company at 205-833-2525 or email them at southern.supply@mindspring.com and I feel sure Jason or someone there can help you.

SOURCE: Problems with my 97 Honda CRV. Erratic idle,

It could be the main relay and/or the ecm. Or it could be the distributor timing off.

Could be the ignition switch. Honda issued a recall on 1997 CRV ignitions in 2002.
Go to www.ahm-ownerlink.com and under quick tasks, click on the Get Recall Information.

I have a 90 4.3. Starts up and it will run all day, once you shut it off it won't start until the engine cools down somewhat. when it starts back up it bucks ,flutters and doesn't want to idle

Hello
The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

05 Ford Escape, coils #3 & #4 not firing. We've replaced the battery, spark plugs, alternator, coil packs, & pcm. Had pcm reflashed. Garage said it had to be coil packs, but just replaced coil packs 3

Check engine light on ? Code's ? What engine ? 2.3 l 4cylinder or 3.ol v-6 This vehicle has coil on plug ignition system , not coil packs ! a coil per cylinder . If new coils an still has no spark , has no B+ voltage to the coil or the PCM isn't controlling them . Without testing i'd only be guessing as to the problem .If the repair shop you had it to can only say it had to be the coils , I'd find another shop to take it to !

After 5 minutes the flame keeps going out on my maytag gas dryer

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is obviously a Maytag gas dryer. If this is a symptom were the ignitor does glow as you stated yet it won't ignite, or ignites for a short time before going out and not cycling back on...I would be looking at the burner coils.

Once you've gain access to the coils you'll need to remove the wire harness and check the continuity.

Here's the tricky part though...many times they will ohm out ok when cool (not operating) yet as soon as there is current passing through the coil it "opens".

The wire inside the coils is so fine that often it only takes a small current to "open" the circuit...thus not igniting the 2nd, 3rd time and so on. Most times it will only be one coil that fails but it is good practice to replace them both, many places used to sell them in a kit so double check with your supplier.

I've attached a link here, though it may be different than your model the principles to changing the coils are the same. As far as what part you may need and how to get it. There are a couple of places I prefer, on-line at "searspartsdirect.com" or "repairclinic.com".

Kit contains both the two wire and three wire solenoids. One solenoid is the primary and one is the safety. Both have to operate for the gas valve to open. Usually, one of them burns out as I said but you should always replace them as a set.

**Please turn off the gas and unplug the dryer before performing any service...safety first**

The most common for Whirlpool (Maytag too) is part number 3479 at "repairclinic" as this link should provide you.

Let me know how you make out or if you require further assistance and I'll do whatever I can. Good luck.
