Sorry I had all projector details on screen and thought it would go with my message, ill try again. My Toshiba TDP-S35 had the vibration problem ,I had just replaced the lamp and the colour was a bit off, I opened it up again to find a small motor with a disc on it,half was missing of course out of balance and vibrations, removed the other half no vibrations but now black and white picture, good for old movies and remembering the man on the moon on a A.W.A black and white TV Can I replace this

motor with the colour disc or are I wasting my time and should buy another new projector?

Hope to hear from you soon Regards,

    Da Tank

Hi,
It calls color wheel (small motor with a disc on it) that is necessary to replace color wheel to see colors in picture of your Toshiba TDP-S35 multimedia projector as color wheel is broken.
Thanks.

Is having trouble reading or tracking disc.I opened top and while playing disc the tracking mechanism goes out then back in and starts playing where it stopped?

You can clean the lens with a small amount of windex and put a little oil like 3 and 1 oil on the spindle motor shaft and on the sled rails. Good luck !

I bought an Eddie Bauer infant swing 2nd hand and it won't swing. I put new batteries in but still it won't do what its suppose to. Any ideas?

Does it play the tunes? If not, verify that the batteries are installed correctly. If that is not the problem, read on:

I don't know about your particular infant swing, but those I have seen use a vibrating motor to drive the swing. This a small electric motor with an intentionally out of balance weight on the shaft. When it spins, the whole assembly shakes. The drawbacks to this design are that the weight may come loose so the motor spins without turning the weight, the wires to the motor may break off from the vibration, or the motor bearings may go bad from the heavy wear.

You would need to open the housing to see what the problem is. A broken wire is usually easy to repair if you are good with soldering. A loose setscrew on the weight can be secured with a thread-locking compound. A worn motor bearing, on the other hand, cannot be economically repaired. (The shaft of a worn-out motor will have a lot of side play - if it's worn to the point of failure, the armature inside the motor may drag on the field magnet and be hard to turn, or the motor brushes will not make proper contact with the commutator.) These motors are generally very common varieties and are available from Jameco Electronics or Radio Shack. For example, Vibrating Motor 3 Volt DC 75 mA is $3.25 plus tax and shipping.

Why would my console all of a sudden stop recognizing game discs?

Hi Murray

Had the same prob with my sons PS3. Turned out to be the laser. Bought a new one on Ebay for under 20 quid. Sorted. Can't say for sure this would fix your x box though.

Pioneer DVL-700. Unit Plays LD Discs & CD's fine but will not play any DVD Videos.

The dvd's are not spinning up correctly. If the belt inside is worn this will cause cd's to play but dvd's fail. open up and replce belt (small black rubber running on motor)

The Memorex DVD player makes clicking and either it stops playing or plays in fits a starts - It does this more than half way into the disc

That sounds like the traverse motor is having problems turning and moving the laser further out into the disk.
Check there is not a speck of hard dust on the traverse motor mechanics, cogs etc.

Asus AL2216W top half screen got darker. Lamp problem ?

When the lamps are bad, the screen will shut down if the inverter cricuits is sensing open (lamps will not fire up and conduct, or lamps are drawing too much current). You should open it up and inspect the caps in the power supply first, lamps in this monitor are ntoeasy to replace (screnn will to be complete,ey disassembled.

Looking for a part for my Jenn-Air electric motor

I broke the same part when trying to manually turn the shaft on a stuck motor. That part is made out of pot/white metal. Mine broke at the base where it slides onto the half round shaft on the motor. I was able to fix it by drilling a small hole in the half round shaft on the motor and the broken piece. Then I used a small finish nail as a pin to hold the two parts together. Next time I take it apart, I will use some JB Weld epoxy on it. I don't think you'll find that piece by itself. I might just tinker on my metal lathe and make one up, but looking on ebay is probably your best bet for the whole motor.

Does not play CDs. After closing, tray immediately opens again and displays "Take CD out". Cycles through trays and gets stuck.

If you sure that the system supports the disc's format.. And it won't play other discs... try to clean the CD lens. If it wont help and you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the system and look for Problems with the door opening/closing: Steps: 1. Make sure the drawer-loading belt is still tight and elastic. If not, it can be replaced with a belt obtained from an electronic-parts supplier. The replacement should be of equal or slightly greater thickness and should fit snugly but not so tightly that it strains the motor. 2. Check for broken or loose gears and have them replaced. 3. Check for obvious sources of contamination such as pet hair or foreign objects that are preventing smooth operation of moving parts. Small children have a habit of inserting items into CD players. 4. Use electronics-grade contact cleaner to clean the door-position contacts.
