If i don't wrong your model has 3 trays. the first one is a bypass, in front of the printer. the second one is in the middle and then (optional) the third.
if you intend the third, the last (as you can see on your image) on the bottom, only lift up the printer from this tray (you can need of an help by other people).
if you intend the second one and you cannot open the tray, open the first door (used when you change toner), remove toner cartridge and look inside.
take a look behind the printer, there is an other door to inspect the fuser assembly.
for you also a service manual, if you need

Tray 2 should be the one on the bottom and you should be able to put your fingers under the middle section and pull it out.

Your problem is more than likely that the sensor lever is not properly positioned. You may also have dislodged the shaft from the drive gears (gears on right out side of carriage). Both are easy to do.

Here's a couple pictures of the exact positioning of the paper sensor positioning. It should freely flip up and fall back down with gravity. Remove the tray and check the flag that hangs down.

Just in case you have dislodged the shaft from the geartrain, here's a free copy of the HP Service manual for the printer that will walk you through disassembling the right side for re-mounting the shaft and holder clip for the shaft.

Hope that helps you. :)

If this resolves the issue, hit me with a Fixya! If not ask me further and I'll try and help you some more.

13.20.00 can be also caused be a jam near the fuser (the part of the printer that gets hot to make the toner stick to the paper). Remove the toner cartridge and take a look for small scraps of paper along the whole path. Also open the door on the back of the printer and look for paper scraps from there. If you see paper stuck in the fuser, do not use anything sharp to remove it, be careful not to scratch the surfaces.

The pickup rollers are worn out. Replace them and your problem will be gone. While you are sourcing them, use some alcohol. This may give them a little more life.

False paper jam on hp laserjet 4345

Paper jam I suppose is the commonest of all printer problems as it can occur due to strayed, stuck bits of papers in pathway of paper tray, outlet, roller etc. I would recommend cleaning the paper inlet, outlet, and other possible areas to avoid a paper jam situation.

Follow the given steps to clear paper jam
>Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the rear.

->To clear a paper jam near the paper tray, grip the paper and pull it firmly but gently from the printer. If you find a stack of papers jammed, grab from the middle of the stack and pull.

->For a rear jam, remove the back of the printer. When you find a free edge on the paper, grip it firmly and pull it out.

->Replace the back cover. Press the "Resume" button or turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. Your settings should reset.

->Try printing another document

Hi I have a cannon mp470 and it will not pull paper through to print. It either doesn't catch at all, or it will jam to one side.

Hi

There is something stopping the paper feed process. Try the following
1. Check and make sure nothing is fallen inside the paper tray
2. Remove anything stuck
3. Even if you are not able to see anything stuck tray to use a air blower and blow air in the tray this will remove anything stuck.

IBM Infoprint 1532 Tray Selection

For tray linking to work, both Paper Size AND Paper type must be configured the same for both trays. You probably have the paper sizes the same but types could be different. The is no setting to make tray linking work.. it will do it automatically if the above settings are correct.

Paperjams

Sounds like the pick up rollers are worn or dirty.
You can try to clean them with alcohol.
When you pull the tray out the rollers
should be towards the front of the printer.
