Hi, I have the Linksys wusb54gsc wireless network adapter, and when i try to install it, the program freaks out every time, I cannot get it to complete installing. The program opens and will lest me pick secure setup or skip, but when i click either one, the program freezes, any ideas?
- You need to Update the Drivers for your Wireless Adapter...Download the Drivers from here
After
downloading the drivers you need to unzip the file...After you unzip
the file you should un-install the adapter drivers/software from
Programs menu...Leave the adapter connected to the PC and reboot your
computer...Once the computer is rebooted you should see a message
"Found new Hardware"...Select the option Install it from a specific
location and click Next, then select Include this location in Search
and browse to the place where you have unzipped all the files and
select the Driver folder and click O.k...Then click Next and it should
install the adapter drivers...
NOTE : This installation doesn't install the software(Linksys Monitor)...
Once
the Adapter is installed, Click on the Start button >>>
Control Panel >>> Network Connections- Right click on the
"Wireless Network Connection" icon and select "View Available Wireless
Networks"- If you see your wireless network in the list, highlight it
by 'single' clicking on it- Now click on the 'Connect' button below- If
your wireless network is secured, it would ask you to provide the
network key- Provide the wireless network key and confirm it again in
the confirmation box and click "Connect"...It should connect to your
Network and Internet...

I've been using the compact wireless-g for a while now with very little problems. Suddenly I get a message the device has malfunctioned and Windows can no longer identify it at all. I have made no changes nor have I un/installed anything to my knowledge that should have affected it in any way. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it recently with no success. When I tried it on a laptop it again came up as malfunctioned. Is there a way to fix this or is this simply a case of having to get a new one?

My Linksys wusb54gsc wireless adapter won't work. It did work once in the past. Right now all it will do is show a very dim green light. If I run the cd it will get to the very last part to use secureEasySetup or skip and I can't click on either but I can the exit button. Also in the tray it show its disable. I tried plugging the adapter in before the cd and the computer doesn't recognize it being there at all. Anyone know what I might be able to do to fix this, thanks.

PLEASE HELP! I've had the compact wireless-g working for quite a while before, but it had recently stopped connecting to the internet as often, to never connecting, and now my computer won't even recognize the device! I've tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, but I don't think everything unistalled/reinstalled properly and I might've just dug a deeper hole for myself. I am absolutely terrible with computers and any kind of help would be much appreciated. Please let me know if you have any advice at all.
