SOURCE: Kenmore, model 110 26422500, type 111 Leaks when spin

The back panel does NOT come off on this model washer. In order to accurately determine the source of a leak on a Whirlpool manufactured TOP LOADER, you need to remove the exterior washer cabinet. This is procedure is much simpler than it sounds. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576648-washer_leak__top_loader

In the majority of cases, leaks on top loaders are caused by a leaking drain pump, or drain hoses. Instructions are included to replace the pump if it found to be leaking.

Replacement parts (if required) can be found at the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The average cost varies, so shop and compare. The first three websites I listed also have helpful exploded view parts diagrams that can help you locate and properly identify the parts you need.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have a kenmore front load washer model 41744042400 the drum seems to be off its track. it makes a lot of noise when spinning and shakes a lot. One of the shock absorters was broken and i replaced it....

they dont have tracks they sought of float in the middle of the tub held on by the shaft coming off the spider arm on the back of your drum, if you can move the drum back and forth and it makes a metal crunchy kinda noise your spider arm has snapped to fix it you need a new drum and will almost quite literally have to dissasemble the machine into every piece its made of, altho not neccesarily difficult is quite time cosuming about 3-4 hours (thats for someone with experience)

Agitator does NOT spin along w/ drum during spin cycle

If this is the old style that uses a belt, it is not worth fixing. But the problem sounds like the wig-wam is not functioning properly. Most of the time it was a wire broken since it moves back and forth constantly.

Kenmore 110 washer drum spins with lid open during Rinse/Spin

Slow agitator could be linked to shaft bearings going south. Pull the agitator off and check the block on top of the shaft. With everything turned off, try to turn the shaft. It should turn freely both ways. Other things to slow down the works could be a very worn drive belt from the motor.
The lid switch problem seems to be a wiring short--trace the wiring back from the switch to where ever it ends up (at the timer?). If it winds up at a relay, the contacts may be stuck together. It would be nice to have a wiring diagram--ah well. Don't know if any of this helps, good luck.

GE washer (WHDRR418GWW)(14 MO. OLD)HAS STOPPED AGITATING.WHERE TO LOOK? WHAT TO TRY?

My washer would fill/drain ok but would not agitate or spin. I unplugged the washer and listened for the motor to click. When the motor clicked I plugged the washer back in. Then I opened and closed the lid 10 times. I turned the washer to the drain/spin position and turned it on. The belt moved back and forth several times and then went into a fast spin.

Kenmore 44092/spin cycle

It turns out that there was a sock stuck within the pump in the washing machine. I removed the back cover and removed all the excess water, because once the sock was removed, the water was free to escape. I just removed the hose that connects to the pump and felt the sock, and was able to remove it. Once I hooked everything back up, the washing machine ran great.

No spin zone

Try this: Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
