-   this is charly187 i solved my frozen problem with out loosing anything on the ipod nano just hold the center button and the menu button together for 10 seconds and it should reset.-   charly187

sounds like your lock switch is broken, if this is under 1 yr old it should be under manufacturer's warranty, so they should be able to sort this for you.

Try and flatten battery - just leave it on and be patient. I know, it's hard.

If USB cord not working try to charge via different cord or iPod Speakers

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESET IF BATTERY FAR FROM FULL(see apple website)
Try reset it. Turn HOLD on then off, then hold down center and menu until apple symbol appears.

My mp3 player(2gb) will freeze and wont do anything even if i hook it up to my computer. so i just let the baddery run out and i wont happen for the next day or to the do it again.
