Question about HP 417035-001 - HP Pavilion dv2000 Series Laptop Full Featured Intel Chipset Motherboard
I bet you have no display at all but everything powers on. If you hook it up to an external monitor it has no video either. These motherboards have a chipset issue and will require either a motherboard repair (some people have had some luck) or a new motherboard. There are no guarantees how long the new motherboard will last either. Although it may sound expensive I would suggest replacing the laptop unless you can get an inexpensive board and someone to install it

I can define what your getting - either 1 long and 3 short beeps on startup or you power the unit one and get nothing. You have nvidia graphics processing unit failure - comon with the dv2xxx / dv6xxx / dv9xxx series. Not only unique to Hp asus / dell ect also have the same problem. Only rectification is a replacement m/board
