How to scan tv for outdoor antenna

Refer its user manual to get more details about an auto-tune function. Do it accordingly. The set will search for all available channels at that time, and will get memorized them. After autosearch function is over, it will display the first received program, and later you can select your favorite channels by Up / Dn program button on the remote control.
If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

Trying to tune tv to channel 3,but it doesnt want to stop on 3. goes all around the dial will stop on 2or4 but not on3.

Hi,
Did you try to manual tune/search the channel? If you are using the autosearch/tune feature and the signal is not strong it will simply skip the channel. Find channel 3 with manual search and then save it. Good luck!

Keep loseing local channels , change antenna 4times allways resetting channels gain and lose

Hi, I may have the answer for you. Your (TV) is very sensative to off air stations (anntena).
If you are near a cell tower or Power lines your TV tuner will have a harder time finding anything.
You may need to switch to Cable or dish to recieve anything worth watching. Most off air channels
will fade away because of DTV. If you have a chance Google (digital TV) for your search.
Good luck...

I'm hooking up a Nintendo 64 to a AOC LCD L32W861 television. I am trying to use an RF cable to connect the two systems. For whatever reason, the tv responds to the connection, but simply displays "No...

If you have it connected properly,it probably has to do with tv station select.Do you know how when you do a channel autosearch and it picks up cable anddigital channels?Well if you go into that menu,on my tv it shows 4 different possibilities. The first set is labeled DTV,second TV,third Cable DTV,fourth Cable. You may have to switch to the plain TV option and use channel 3 or 4 in that mode, because everything else is looking for a digital input, and N64 is not digital.I used to repair Nintendos for a full time job too.If that doesn't work,I am providing a link to N64 FAQ's and it may need repair, probably the RF cable or the RF transmitter within the console.I am thinking the TV solution will work though.
Good luck and game on! Greg

If you have more questions, maybe about how to set up the TV,just comment here and I will get an auto email with a link.

SAMASUNG 32 INCH TV FROZEN ON DTV CHANNEL 1 CHANNEL WORK WHEN YOU CHANGE TO TV CHANNELS 1 - 5 BUT DOES NOT WORK ON DTV CANT CHANGE JUST FROZEN ON CHANNEL 1

These are the steps to reset the DTV features and unfreeze your TV:
  1. Ensure the tv is in analogue mode, not dtv and turn it off.
  2. With the remote: press info, then menu, then mute, then power. These buttons need to be pressed sequentially, not all at the same time, and in quick succession. A menu will appear on the tv.
  3. Navigate to the reset option and press the left arrow key on the remote (or press the enter/ok button). The tv will reset itself and turn off.
  4. Turn the tv back on & it'll re tune all its channels. DTV should be working again.
I hope that helps.

I'm able to view all local channel in digital (new tv with in philip hdtv indoor antena) but after conver to diggital I lost channel 7 and 9 I scan many time but sitll no lick

What local area are you in? 7 & 9 may have moved to another channel. Every distributor of channels ie. Comcast, Directtv, Dish, Bright House, etc has channels all over the map!! with no real clear plan it seems! If you go to DTV answers.com you can get the new local lineup for your area. At this point, if you still don't have the signal, you may need to re-align your antenna for the best possible reception. If you go to Terk.com you can type in your zipcode and it will show you where the transmitting antennas are located. You may need a better antenna like a Wineguard or larger Terk to get all your channels. Hope this helps

I cannot get a signal with converter box and Philips indoor antenna

Try to manually enter the local DTV Station Channels, instead of letting the converter scan for channels. And try moving the antenna and then re-entering the DTV channel.

You should really have an external antenna that is matched to your local reception needs.

contact your local TV stations, their engineers will be more than happy to help.

Want to run my dtv receiver through new digital converter box.

You will not be able to record local station from a DTV converter connected thru a directv receiver unless there is a a/v input on the directv samsung receiver. Also check the user manual for this receiver if recording from an external source such as a DTV converter box is possible. The answer to seperating the DTV converter box from the directv samsung receiver is possible if your tv has multiple inputs. Try connecting the DTV box to the RF input and the directv samsung box to an a/v input then change inputs using the tv remote. you will need an av cable (yellow/ red/white) for the directv box and a rf jumper cable for the DTV box.

DTV connection

Have you tried http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx? This will show you the location of the HD broadcast towers for your local stations and my recommendation would be to use an outdoor antenna if you can. Picking up the reception is definitely about pointing the antenna in the direction of the towers.
