SOURCE: Rollpaper feeding problem on R800 Epson

try to look at your rollers made of black rubber, if they are shining then they need cleaning, if you know how to open the unit to get to all these rollers then you might be able clean them yourself with laquer thinner and a rag, where gloves and turn the rollers into the soaked rag and keep turning tight with lots of elbow grease until all rollers lost that shine.

Hi.
Check for a paper jam inside the paper feeder... There's something blocking the path that is why the 3-beep is activated. Also put lubricant to the head's round-bar, gears and levers.

Goodluck... Fixya me...

SOURCE: printer paper will not feed into the printer

Your printer has a photo switch at paper feed section, this switch is triggered when there is paper and vise versa when there is none, check to see if there is/are some torn pieces of paper blocking or clogging the plastic lever from triggering the switch. A torchlight and a plastic pair of tweezers will help a lot.

SOURCE: epson stylus pohoto 830u paper feed

I'm afraid this series of printer (810 -830) doesn't handle heavy photo paper well - which is a bit strange for a so-called photo printer. If you hold each sheet and help it to feed it will work. But ...... for goodness sake. Your best bet is to sell it on e-bay and buy something that will handle heavy paper.

How to adjust printer for thicker photo paper?

There are several ways to adjust your printer for thicker photo paper:
  1. Check the paper tray: Make sure that the paper tray is adjusted for the thickness of the photo paper. Some printers have adjustable paper trays that can accommodate different paper thicknesses.
  2. Use the manual feed: If your printer has a manual feed option, try using it to feed the thicker photo paper through the printer. This can help prevent jamming.
  3. Adjust the printer settings: Check the printer settings to see if there are any options for adjusting the paper thickness. Some printers allow you to adjust the paper thickness in the driver settings.
  4. Check for software updates: Make sure you have the latest software updates for your printer. Sometimes, software updates can include new settings or features that can improve the printer's ability to handle thicker paper.
  5. Check your printer manual: consult your printer's manual for any specific instructions on printing on thicker papers.
It's also worth noting that not all printers are capable of handling thick papers, so it may be necessary to use a different printer or have it professionally printed if none of the above steps work.

Epson px720wd does nozzle-cleaning and -test fine, but turns off as soon as it starts printing!

Well this is not easy to diagnose without seeing it but when you say "Turns off" I presume you mean loses all power and is dead. The only difference between cleaning and printing is that the paper is drawn into the printer by the feed motor. This exerts a bigger drain on the power supply than the cleaning does. So see if the motor just starts to jerk as the power fails. If so then you will need to place the power supply unit. It could also be the control board but the psu is more likely.

Glossy A4 paper will not feed. Is it too heavy?

Actually, if printer is new, printer can feed up to 350 grm. But if pick up rubber at paper feeder mechanics had distort/loose thickness, it can't. Try to use 210 gsm glossy paper. Or, if you wish to use 280 gsm, pull down paper while printer grab paper.

Not printing glossy A4 paper / paper jam / no paper feed

dont use thick photo paper like 230 gsm up, instead use 180 gsm papers. but if you dont want to waste the purchased thick photo papers, you can open the back and manually insert the paper once the printing process started. i tried this as a trial & error basis until i had perfected it.... hope it works with yours.

HP 6940 rejects 8.5" X 11" glossy photo paper for printing

Is it a front feed and then the output is also goes out to the front? Coz if your glossy paper is to tough that it will not bend easily, this is what you get. Why not try to use a thin and more flexing photo paper if the outcome will be the same.

Usually when using thick paper the most desirable printer should be a top feed-front output with almost less than 90 degree bend.
