I have just bought the new LG KF300And having trouble putting music on the mp3 I was told I would need a usb cable and memory card so bought them, no joy.Contacted LG told to download manual but could not do this as kf300 is not on the list!!Then was told by a phone shop i needed a bluetooth dongle. The instructions that came with the phone is like trying to cook with a chocolate WOCK.!! Can you help please.
Could be you have bought a microSDHC. I think these mobile only support microSD. To find if the card is being recognised by the phone, go to the settings menu and look for a "memory" menu. This will tell you how much memory the phone has found, if there is only the 10MB internal then the card is the wrong type.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

do you have the music files on the SD card? is the SD card compatible (you need a usb data cable for connection between the cell & pc) is the files MP3, AAC or WMA ? you can play these types of codecs (by pressing my music)
i can guide you through the prossess of connecting it through a usb cable, and can suggest other options that will enable you to get music onto your phone if this fails.
You cannot put music strait onto youe phone from the cd first it needs to be ripped onto your computer, and converted into an mp3 file so that the phone can play this. if you cannot do this, then reply to this solution, or post it as another question.
USB Cable Link
turn on your phone and pc and plug the cable into both
look on the phone screen to see if it is asking anything. if it asks what mode you wish to use, choose FILE TRANSFER.
depending on your computor different things may happen, but it should install automatically.
once this is done, your phone will act and appear on your computor the same a memory stick would.
to add music (or any other type of file) just got to my computor, double click on your phone, go to the music file, and simply paste the music you have ripped from your cd there
if you have any questions or trouble will this contact me on my account
please take the time to rate this solution thanks :)
As far as I am aware when you sync a mobile to pc all you are doing is copying names and addresses and numbers from mobile to pc and vise versa, you are not transfering mp3s or anything else as such, for this you have to use the LG Suite software that came with your mobile or simply drag and drop the files to the sd card that you have in the mobile, obviously you have to be able to use the sd card in a laptop or pc card reader to do this and not the data cable that you use that came with the mobile. The drag and drop method is far easier, well I think so.
kk to add music make sure you syn the phone and the cp do the data and all then put .mp3 on all the media files and see if it works. Then if that doesnt go to computor format the card and then put it in the phone. Otherwise you need new stuff.
YES you CAN put music on your phone without USB cable!!! just drag and drop music from your computer to your SD card/adapter(usually F: drive) , click SD card into LG Vu (make sure "connection", in "settings" is set to "mass storage" on phone!
Make sure your music is mp3,wma,aac,aac+,or eaac+ format.Insert the micro sd card into the slot underneath the sim card in the back of the phone.Turn on the phone and connect it to ur pc using a usb data cable once the portable device pops up on ur screen use the second option. From within windows media player songs will populate the left side of the screen.check drag songs to be transferred then click start sync when finished tap cancel on the phone then yes to exit music and disconnect the usb cable.
you can buy a bluetooth adapter and make the transfer much easier or load the software that came with the mobile to the computer then use the usb cable to transfer the music...or you can make sure that the phone takes .mp3 format or wmv or wma audio files.
i suggest you dont put in the music through ur computer but through bluetooth . if you have a mac that would be a good way as the macbook hav bluetooth . i have a KE970 but it wont start it restart automatically over and over again . i think the problem is because of a virus i got while downloading imgaes from the net . so make sure you check if you got viru's on the song .
