i have a Sigmatel e55 mobile phone. Its a dual SIM Set (Its IMEi Nos. are 3521.............& IMEISV:78.) The second SIM does not workig. Please provde me a valid IMEI No. or give me advice how can I activate my second SIM.
hi there, call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options cheers
Type *#06# like you're going to call someone. A number (the IMEI) should come up. Write this down, then call AT&T (or whoever your service provider is). They can be reached by dialing 611 from your cell phone, or 800.331.0500 (customer care) or 866.700.2105 (technical support). Provide them with the IMEI and they will provide you with the unlocking code as well as how to put it in.
It seems that your cellular service provider recognizes the IMEI number of your phone as invalid, that is the reason you are getting this message. You can contact the Service provider to get the address of IMEI validation center and they will validate the IMEI of your SIM.
Hope you find this information helpful.
Thank you for choosing Fixya
People can validate IMEI numbers of their handsets by sending their IMEI numbers of two numbers 57886 and 53232.
First Type IMEI (in Capital) space IMEI number and then send it to either 57886 or 53232. Within few minutes, people will receive a message about validity of IMEI number.
e.g. IMEI 352536650070854
In both cases of no IMEI number or duplicate IMEI number, people can use a service started by Mobile Standards Alliance of India (Govt. Approved) to provide valid and unique IMEI to all such handsets by paying just Rs 199. After getting new IMEI number, any person can use such handsets for as long as he wants. with regards to zimbio
