It could be one of 2 things, your carriage shaft might be dirty and needs lubricating. when the printhead goes left and right, if it has to work hard to do it, the part that holds the belt could be releasing tension causing a noise. another possibility is the screw that is holding the part that holds the belt is loose and needs tightening.
