KONCEPT CISCO IAM USING KONCEPT PHONE AND ALSO CISCO SIP PHONES NOW WHEN I MAKE A CALL FROM CISCO TO KONCEPT I AM NOT ABLE TO HEAR FROM KONCEPT TO CISCO BUT FROM CISCO TO KONCEPT SPEECH IS CLEAR PLS ADVIDE WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM IN KONCEPT PHONE. I KNOW IT IS ONLY CODEC BUT I PUT ALL PREFERENCE STILL NOT COMING.

If that is going across a routed network, check all your routing configuration. A lot of 'one-way' calls are caused by incorrect routing.

Make sure that the subnets for each of the phones can get to each other, and if possible try putting them on the same subnet for a trial to make sure that works.

Yes, there is programming which would need to be removed. However, you would need a cisco call manager($800) at home. Unless of course you have voip in your home. then you could just set it to DHCP I'm assuming and then it should just work!

How do you hide the displayed number on Cisco Phone?


You will need to modify the template assigned to that particular phone. Depending on the service you are using (CallManager onsite or hosted VoIP, or other options), you may or may not actually have access to make these changes. Cisco IP Phone 7940 and 3com nbx as 3rd party SIP phones


Here are the instructions for configuring these units for 3cx

Since the 3cx softphone worked well, I don't see why you couldn't configure each as for 3cx and make them work as well.

Converting to SIP


connect a crosscable between your cisco 7940 and the laptop
start a dhcpserver and a tftpserver on your laptop
The files i mentioned (SIP license) have to be purchased at Cisco.
start the IPPhone, thats all
