Question about Acer Aspire 4520-5582 Notebook
First the screen would turn white then a couple of months later the screen just stays black and my laptop will not turn on even for a minute......
OK everyone DON'T Panic. There is a Fix to this widespread problem but you have to know how to take the motherboard out and put it all back together. It's a good two(2) hour job even for me and I have fixed many of these with the same problems as all of yours.
nVida (the graphics chip) de-soders itself when the chip gets too hot which normally will operate O K for the first 6-12 months. The chip has to be re set(re melted back on to the motherboard. It will take too long to explain on this solution site but I will answer any questions I can concerning this fix. The main fix is to heat the chip up hot enough to melt the solder back to the board without ruining the board. The President of nVida has admitted to the problem but the OEM refuses to fix it.

Please remove the Battery from the Battery compartment. Then, remove the RAM module and reinstall it. Next, connect the AC Adaptor and try to power ON the Notebook without the Battery inserted. If the issue persists then service will be required.
