Emptied bucket fine. Went to turn back on starts to work and then shuts down right away

Make sure that the water full detection switch is not stuck in the full position. Its a plastic piece near the top side and when the water level gets high enough it floats the piece up to turn off the unit. It can sometimes get misaligned when changing the bucket and stuck in the off position.

My dehumidified says its full but it is actually empty? what should I do?

The actuator switch, which is commonly called the bucket safety removal switch, is not making good contact with the bucket. Turn the unit OFF & Unplug it. Remove the bucket from it's holder and check the inside of the top of the bucket for a float valve. The float valve's arm may be stuck in the UP position. In which case, jiggle the arm to get it to return to the DOWN position. If your model doesn't have a float valve, look inside the bucket holder for what will look like a trigger switch. This is what the bucket must make firm contact with. Reinstall the bucket making sure that it fits "squarely" into the holder from top to bottom. When installed properly, the bottom of the bucket will not be tilting down.\

Plug the unit back in and turn the unit ON. If any of the above was corrected, the unit should turn ON and function normally.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

It still tell me that the dehumidifier is full even if i emptying.

That's generally what happens when the bucket is reinstalled and it doesn't trigger the bucket removal safety switch. Remove the bucket and look up inside the cavity for a protruding plastic trigger type switch. The bucket must make proper contact with it, so the the unit will run. Before removing the bucket, make sure the unit is turned ON. That way, when you reinstall it and trigger the switch correctly, the unit will start automatically When you reinstall it, be sure that the top and bottom of the bucket fit squarely into the cavity holder. Also, check the float level in the tank, to see if it is locked in the UP position. If it is, giggle it just a bit, to make it return to the DOWN position.

If that fails to solve the problem. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 10 minutes. After the elapsed time, plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/Off Switch to ON. Hopefully during that 10 minute timeout, the unit's electronics have reset themselves and the your will have reverted back to the original factory settings. You can then rest them the way you want to.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I don't have the manual and need to replace and/or clean the air filter on my Goldstar DH304. Where do I find it on the appliance?

if this is the correct picture - pull out the collection bucket and reach just inside the opening at the top (just at the bottom of the grill in the front) the filter is plastic and pulls straight down. Clean it tin soapy water, dry it, and slide it back it place.

I have the hose hooked up to the back but it keeps filling the tank and shuts off when it's full ,how do you just use the hose to drain

I believe you have to put a plug to drain that drains into the tank ,then it can only drain out the hose.

Water from LG 30 pt dehumidifier drains into reservoir instead of running through garden hose into floor drain like it is supposed to. Have checked...no obstructions to garden hose. Very frustrating...must...

(assumming you are not an idiot, like the other solver suggested) you may very well have it connected to the right spot, many of these units, are not balanced well, (or are balnaced all to well, depending on how you look at it) The imbalance, basically makes the water drip to the front, instead of the back. Try to put something under just the front of the machine, to tilt it back, ever so slightly. Good luck

LG Dehumidifier overflows when attachment tube/hose attached

  • After 1 year of wondering why the LG instruction manual said no more than shove the white hose connector piece into the rear of the unit until secure, and relying on 'hit or miss' that the drain hose would actually work, (rather than filling up the bucket), I have finally found the solution. Ironically, it came while I was on my knees getting serial number from behind the bucket before they would try to help me by phone. There I saw it! The black interior drain piece inside the unit (top right when you remove the bucket) that the white house connector must be secured over. (Nothing in the manual ever told me to look for this.) As for securing the unit in the back--under the big vertical flap (which must point up and remain outside the unit), there is a smaller flap or triangular piece. They say that should be inside the unit, which it doesn't seem to go, because it is parallel to the large vertical flap), but if you push hard enough it does click onto the unit, while allowing the large while flap to remain outside (with the arrow pointing up), making the entire piece secure. Check once more to see if the white hose connector piece is secured over the interior drain piece (a black plastic elbow piece, on the top inside right where you remove the bucket, as I've said), and you'll be good to go! LG should be ashamed of their manual writing on this and the time I wasted getting my two units to work. However, at least these units are not fatally flawed as I was beginning to think.

Danby water tank

this part is the indicator to activate the interlock that stop your deshumidifier when water tank is full. It activate a switch on the top right of the placeholder of the tank. when the switch is relaesed it tells you either thank is not there or full and light a red signal. the center of the wheel should be back the pivot. if the pivot is broken, i don't suggest you to forced the switch activated unless you use the direct drain, or you might have water spilled over a full bucket! Martin!
