Fuel in oil on 15hp B&G engine, what causes this

Get a fuel shut off and use it all the time! Your carb is probably like so many others that leak fuel constantly!

Evenrude point gap

I will try to help. You should be able to rephrase your request on the Browser and look for Specs and your motor info. Create different phrases until you get the answers you want.

I have a Johnson 15HP and it may even have electronic sensors for points. I remember a 1950 Mercury 40HP which was around 18-20 thousandths. In a jam a matchbook cover would be a close gap. Seem to remember gaps were tighter with Magneto power because spark was weak.

You can try to relist on this site under Boats catagory. I hope my solution helps.

Water does not come out of the port hole all of the time.

you might just have dirt in the water view port try a real smal drill bit BY HAND to clean the hole . if the morot doesn't run hot then you really don't have a problem

hi obviously a fuel fault someware / when motors are winterised the fuel system is usualy emptied, this causes gaskets and diaphrams to dry out and split try it with the tank filler off /replace the diaphram in the carb and i am pretty shure that will solve the problem /nb / as this motor has stood for a time and does not do much work /outboards love work check the water pump impellor and put a spoonful of oil in a full tank of gas hope this helps merlin v12
