Majic chef gas range not sure of model #

I have missed placed my range manuel, i have looked for a model# but there is nothing there. i opened the oven door and found these numbers on a sticker #8114p350-60. i purchased the range in 1994 new. the self cleaning broke about the 4th time i cleaned the oven, since then i have cleaned it myself. it is a white stove, gas 4 burner, electronic start, with a black top (clock timer regulator knobs), a black oven door, with a drawer for storage on the bottom. i hope this helps. my problem is that i canot get the oven to work. the 4 burners work great and so does the broiler.when i turn to the oven feature on the dial, it looks like there is a pilot light lit, but it won't heat up. i have sold my home and the range is to remain in the home for the new buyers, but i would like it in working condition before i transfer of ownership.time is of the essence, i only have about 2 weeks to remedy the problem please help thank you

Re: majic chef gas range not sure of model #

You need to replace the oven igniter. It's what you see glowing. They grow weak with age. TURN POWER OFF before servicing this. The numbers can often be found behind drawer at lower front, on oven frame, on left or right near bottom.
Bring model # with you. It should be a standard magic chef igniter. Think it's 12400035.
Remove oven floor to access igniter. It's held on by 2 screws in side of burner. Put some dishwashing detergent on them before trying to remove them. Otherwise they might strip out. The new igniter may plug right in or you may have to cut wires and attach with enclosed wire nuts. The 2 wires to it can be attached either way.

My Majic Chef Oven model CGR3760 is taking a long time to heat up. It took 1 hour to reach 450 degrees! Not sure if this might be a thermostat issue or burner. Penny

Turns out it was the ignitor going bad but not totally gone. We are waiting on a part to come it to replace it. Thanks. By the way, this is a neat service, keep up the good work!

Magic chef oven pilot light out

Hi, If the oven has a standing pilot too, Open the bottom door and locate the main burner. Follow the burner toward the rear of the oven and there will be a flame switch attatched to the burner. Hold the flame near the flame switch and the gas should ignite.
Some model do not have a standing pilot in the oven. Please get me your model number off the label located around the opening of the lower door so I can look this up and instruct you better.
