Go to this site which is a pdf file and follow the instructions "To remove all controls." That will do what you want.

Help truck was stolen, I used remote control to "teach" truck how to open door... I reset door opener and relearned the remote..my question is do the remote have a new entry code when I learn, or remote is...

Ounce you reset ALL code of the garage door opener (engine hook up to the ceiling of the garage that open up the door), ounce you press the reset button on the unit, it disable all transmitter (portable or the one install in your vehicle). Your garage door opener has a receiver in it and your all units that you press on to open the door are the transmitter, so by pressing the reset button on the door opener, you erase all codes of all the transmitter that where programmed to open-up that door.

So if you teach your vehicle using a portable unit and you now reprogram your new vehicle with the SAME portable transmitter, then yes who ever has your stolen vehicle can come back with your stolen vehicle to your house and open up your garage door since you re-programmed the door opener using the SAME transmitter same code sent to the unite to active it).

Buy a new transmitter to re-programmed your new vehicle

I purchased a model 139.53915D garage door opener a couple of months ago. My problem is I have come home twice to find the door wide open for no reason. Today I came home and it was open half way. This is...

Take your remote and your garage door opener and change the codes on them. You will have to take the cover off of the garage door opener to do this also. You will see where you can choose a different code. Just make sure you have the same code set on the opener as you do on the
remote(s). There someone near you who is on the same frequency probably or there are also other radio waves that can do this that are not from garage door remotes. Changing the code should do the trick.

Coding the keypad will not affect the remotes if you follow these directions.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in a four digit code and press enter.

How do I change the code for the door opener and remote. I have a craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener. I have door door openers and one remote with three buttons.

You cannot change the code of your remote or opener. It is set at the factory. If you have lost or have had a remote stolen and need to eliminate its possible use you can erase the memory of your opener by pressing and holding the smart/learn button for 6 seconds. That button is on the back of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Now you need to program your remote by holding the large button down while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button.

Remote won't work since I changed the code on the garage door opener

thats because you didn't recode the remote to the garage door or you have not recoded it correctly. double check the remotes settings (if it can be changed) to ensure it matches the door opener. Now, if you cannot see any method of changing the remote to suit the main unit, it may be that the remote is factory coded or that it is coded by Soldering links on the circuit board. Carefully disassemble the remote to have a look if it does not have a small bank of switches in the battery compartment. If the switches are there, check the coding is the same as the main unit, if the switches are not there, disassemble and check for solder links on the circuit board. If you are not confident with using a soldering iron, take the remote to someone who is.

Craftsman Garage Door Opener

unplug the power of your door opener for a few minutes and plug it back in. Try the remote control that you have and see if it opens the door. If it doesn't open the door, reprogram [learn] the remote control you have and that is it. The other remote will be useless ... and you just proved it to yourself!
