Question about NEC MultiSync MT1050 Multimedia Projector
If your comfortable w/surface mount troubleshooting and soldering,
download the service manual from elsewhere online. Part of the
troubleshooting tree for this type of problem is to check the surface
mount fuses on the underside on the Main PWB (schematic page 1/8). On
mine, the 12V surface mount fuse, F3004 (2.3A) was open (quadrant C1 on
the schematic). Replaced it, reassembled the projector (3 interlocks
don't 'cha know) and it came up just fine.

If you have the schematics look on the power supply board circuit. It looks like there is a linear regulator that feeds the fans. My guess is that the regulator is bad or there are broken solder joints in that circuit.
