Question about HP LaserJet P3005n Printer
- 64MB onboard
16MB DIMM expansion
-Printer keeps crashing and needs to be restarted.
-Memory errors appear to be different every time the printer is restarted.
-The printer no longer gets to a ready state.
-Problem was progressively worse over a few months.
If the printer freezes or crashes at memory count or if the printer shows error Mem test failure replace DIMM or if the printer display is completely blank in that case obviuosly you can try reseating Mmeory Module.
However that doesn't fix the problem formatter board is faulty.
Need to get Formatter replaced.
Thanks and Regards

Sounds like a dud memory board to me. Make sure that the DIMM expansion is clipped firmly in and home, and then try again. Then try removing it completely and see whether the printer still crashes. If the printer works without the memory change the memory board.
