Hi. You will love the dish. I have enjoyed it in my home for a number of years. I like the HDMI cable because it is the best quality and simple to install, one cable does it all. If you don't have one yet get it at walmart where it is about half the cost of other retailers. All satellite TV is HD without you doing anything special. So yes, it will do HD from whatever input you choose.

How do I hook up my satilite dish to our motor home?

Most TVs don't have a built-in satellite receiver. You'll need to buy and install a suitable satellite receiver box for the signals that your dish is capable of receiving. The dish connects to the satellite receiver. Then the sat receiver connects to the TV via either AV cables or HDMI. Hope this helps.

I have my tv hooked to a hd dish network sat box but I i only receive 480p instead of 1080p.

Hello there!!! There are a few reasons this could be. The first step would be to check how the hd is set up on the receiver. Press Menu 6-8. You will want to make sure that the Tv Type says 1080p. If this does not work, make sure that you are, of course, using an HDMI cable, or component cables. If you are having any other troubles with this, you can e-mail me at becki.barned@dishnetwork.com.

Hello, you probably already have gotten this resolved, but I do have some answers to your post. Any cable that you have running from TV1 to the TV2 will nor give you a true HD picture. You could get a CAT5 cable with HDMI ends, but the longer the cable, the less true HD you have. The best resolution to this is to get an additional receiver, or to just stick with the SD picture. If you have any more questions, feel free to e-mail me at becki.barned@dishnetwork.com, or you can find us on Twitter!

JVC AV-48WP30 : no sound comes out of the tv when my hd cord is hooked up. it will play sound through standard hook up. please help

The "hd cord" you're using is probably a DVI cable; they don't pass audio. For this to happen, you need an HDMI cable.
