Question about Philips 55PW9363 55" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
We have sound but no picture. the screen stop working.
Are you using HDMI? because if you are using HDMI you may have im not sure what you call it but its 1080P 1080i 720p 720i etc. you might have a channel that is on 1080p but your tv might only support 720P or so on but if thats not the problem its some type of hardware issue sorry if this dosint help.

Do not throw that one out yet. It will probably be cheaper to have that one fixed than to get a new 50+ inch high def tv. Especially if you know someone with some basic electronic skills like pulling a fuse.
When the TV is on and switch from one AV source to another (like going from DVD player to TV) does the TV show you what the source is (AV1, AV2, AV3, etc.) in the upper left hand corner? Or does that not even show?
Do you get your source from Cable company or just an antenna plugged into the rear?
What is the AV source that you are trying to get a picture on? (Chan. 3, AV1, AV4, etc.)

 Select your Location with the cursor up/down and press the green color button.
If you choose Shop it will skip the Settings assistant. The TV parameters for Picture and Sound will then be set to predefined fixed settings.
Press the green color button again to proceed.
If you choose Home it will display the Settings assistant.
 Use the cursor left/right to each time select your preferred screen.
 Press the green color button to each time confirm your selection and to jump to the following screen.
The following items will be presented sequentially. In the header it is mentioned how many screens have been completed and how many
screens there are in total. The Settings assistant will step sequentially through the following settings: Picture and Sound.
 Press the green color button once to store all the settings and to return to the TV installation menu.
Note: When you skip or stop the Settings Assistant, then the Standard settings
Philips selected for you will be chosen.
 Press the red color button to finish the First time installation procedure and to display the first stored TV channel.
