It's possible you don't have the cartridge properly seated and toner is not being evenly distributed. The other 2 main causes for your problem are:

  1. dirty corona wire
  2. dirty drum
Try cleaning the wire and the drum, then gently shake the toner cartridge from side to side to distribute the toner and re-install. Best of luck.

Green light flashing wont print


Many possible issues:
1) the cover is open (close cover)
2) Out of paper (add paper)
3) printer can't pick up media (change media, change printer print mode setting or paper type selection)
4) Paper jam (remove all media from the paper trays, press the power button once, remove the back cover and pull the jammed paper from that point then close the cover, reload the paper and try to print)
5) Problem with the cartridge (remove the cartridges and then reinsert them, try a cleaning cycle. Alternatively manually clean the cartridges (remove them from the printer and power down and unplug the unit). Use distilled or bottled water and cotton swabs. Slightly moisten the swab and wipe the face, edges of the cartridges - do not touch the contacts or nozzles. Wipe down the underside of the print cartridge cradle walls. Reinsert the cartridges, close the cover and power up the unit. Calibrate the cartridges. If this doesn't help, replace the cartridges.)
6) Loss of electrical contact between the carriage connections (press and hold the power button and open and close the top cover 4 times. Look at the resulting self-test print out. Remove and reinsert the cartridges and try to print. Next clean the cartridges and cartridge cradle as above. Replace the cartridges.)

I hope one of these solutions work. Otherwise the printer needs service.

open up the tray, take the paper out and place back.

switch off printer and turn back on.

i have just found this on the internet myself and I have struggled for a week, but now ok...

Leaving black streaks down paper? Ink cartridge


If this started after cartridge was replaced, then it is probably defective.

Take the cartridge out and take a look at the print head. Clean the print head.
Put the cartridge back in
Try and feed paper (not printing anything on it, if you can not get it to just feed paper, print a blank page) and see if it still has lines. If so, you are probably going to have to clean ink from inside the paper feed area. If not, try using it for a while and if it starts again, get a replacement cartridge. You might want to save some of the bad prints to show the clerk and try to get the new cartridge under warranty.

Green power light is flashing for no apparent reason


Solution

Close the cover.

Cause

Printer cover is open. Solution

Insert appropriate media in the In tray.

The printer is out of paper. Solution

  • Change the printer's print mode setting.
  • Change the printer's paper type selection.
  • Use a different brand of label media.


Cause

The printer has difficulty picking up label media. Solution

Follow each of these steps until the problem is resolved:

  1. Remove the paper from both paper trays.
  2. Press the power button once. Wait a moment for the paper jam to clear.
  3. If printing labels, verify that a label did not become detached while passing through the printer. If the paper jam was not resolved, continue on to the next steps.
  4. Remove the rear access door.
  5. Remove the paper jam through the opening at the back of the printer.
  6. Replace the rear access door.
  7. Reload the paper into the paper In tray.
  8. Print the document.

Changed cartridge--now paper gets stops by cartridge carrier. turned on and off, reinstalled cartridge, cleaned roller.


Press the OK button.
- If paper is being fed at error occurrence, the
error is indicated after the paper is ejected.
- If the error occurs, the print head alignment
values are not changed.
- After exit from the error by the OK button,
the automatic print head alignment will not
be re-done.
The error will occur when the print head
alignment pattern is not printed due to no ink
or non-ejection of ink.

I changed the black ink cartridge and the printer


Calibrate your new blank ink cartridge, have some nozzle check, cleaning check, and printer alignment. This are procedure that new ink cartridge will have to calibrate before you use. Epson printer are very sensitive when capable of changing ink cartridge. Unlink HP directly work without any print test because the cartridge head and ink join together, Epson with ink cartridge and the head separate.
Have some test on it at Printer Maintenance.
I'm sure 100% works on it.

Printer mechnical error


Resolving a blinking light When an error occurs, the power light will blink continuously and an error message will appear on the computer screen. Read the onscreen error message explaining the problem and follow its solution. If no error message appears, go to the Maintenance section in the Printer Assistant and click any of the four main buttons. This will prompt the software to check the status of the printer and the error message should then appear. The following table lists possible causes and what to do to correct the problem. Symptom Possible cause What to do to correct the problem Power light is blinking Printer cover is open Close the cover. Printer is out of paper Insert appropriate media in the In tray. Printer says printing but no print out.


all my cartridges are full/newly changed. my epson stylus cx5200 keeps on feeding papers, displaying printing message but with no actual print out i.e. blank paper comes out. please help. thanks!!

Black cartridge not printing


This is what worked (so far) with my Dell1.gif AIO A940 printer1.gif that wouldn't print black ink.

It worked for awhile when I chose photo/glossy paper, but then it quit printing again (see below).

PRINT, PROPERTIES, PAPER SETUP, SPECIALTY PAPER, PHOTO/GLOSSY


I got it to print, again, by putting SEVERAL papers in the feeder (instead of just 1) - there is a sensor that is supposed to automatically detect paper type, and it might not be working right, especially with one or only a couple of sheets.
