If the pwr light is on, its not a pwr issue.
if the ethernet light is on you should be recieving a signal.
sometimes you may need to reset your modem and refresh everything in the case of pwr outages or unplugging etc.
i suggest calling your internet service provider and having them walk you through a manual reset of your modem

Try using Ethernet. That is always the recommended way to connect to the modem, and it works almost 100% of the time without having to install additional software or perform any additional configuration. If you must use USB for some reason then you will need to make sure you have the drivers installed properly before connecting the modem to your computer.
You may try to use the modem to another pc just to check if the modem is defective or not. If in case the same thing you may want to reboot the modem by pressing on the power button for 5 seconds and wait for a minute beforer turning it on again. If it doesnt work you may also hard reset the modem by following the steps below.
Locate the reset button on the bottom of the 6520 and while holding the reset button watch the power light when it flashes red release it. then you can go to the config utility 192.168.2.1 , you can then configure the 6520 with your aliant UN and PW info. you will know it has connected when the internet light comes on solid green.
You may check now if the same thing happen to your wifi connection. Unless it is an ISP issue.
um not sure, but if you have the disk that came with your router run it and fill in the wireless wizard. Also, on my 6520 the "wireless" led doesnt light up unless i have a device connected that is wireless. Your laptop may be incorrectly setup

i have updated the seimens modem/router with the latest firmware from the telstra site E752-AF5-106-71-a056-v1s
I deal with these routers on a daily basis w/ Frontier. Likley the radio is getting hott and its starting to burn out.. Put your hand on the radio, see if its running rather hott. If it is, unplugg it for an hour. If your a frontier customer, call tech support, get it replaced!
