Turn the unit off by pressing and holding the volume button till it powers down (NOT VIA THE IGNITION SWITCH!) Once off, press and hold the fuction button (located in the top left hand corner near the volume dial) until unit lights up again and a menu appears, near the end of that menu you can change the beep noises to off like volume or when ignition is off but unfortunatly you cannot change the beep for changing track.

Avr 520 will not turn on with my remote tried all codes the unit will turn off and works with remote but i have to turn on manually

Could be that the "on" button is not making proper contact on the remote and the other buttons do work. To confirm place remote on top of an am radio tuned to about 600 on the dial, turn up the volume and start nailing the buttons on by one.

You will hear a beep for each button you press. If nada for a button then it is bogus. U can try cleaning the contact of the remote for that button or maybe even use a very small piece of tin foil on the remote itself for that button. If nothing helps the only solution might be expensive if you decide to replace the remote.

How do I get the volume to work?

The MX-780 is not capable of sound. There are no options to create sound through the menu when you press and hold the MENU and ENTER button, nor is there in the CCP software. This probably has to do with limited memory and to conserve alkaline battery life. We get this question from some of our installers who we do programming work for. If there were some limited volume feedback it would probably be more annoying than helpful, and you might be looking to shut it off. The remotes in this price scale are usually a bunch of "Beeps" and "Blaps" that don't sound well and can be annoying. I hope this helps.

How do I turn off the annoying beeping alert after the cycle is complete?

Hello Joanna,

Welcome to FixYa.

I think I can answer your question..."How do I turn off the annoying beeping alert after the cycle is complete? "

Follow these steps for the SHV6800 will be the same...

**How to Operate the Cycle Completion Signal**

1. Open door, hold down program button (see
Beeper Table below) and simultaneously turn the unit "ON".

MODEL Program BUTTON

SHU 9950 Delay Start Hours
SHU 9910-9920 Delicate/Econo
SHU 8800/8810 Quick Wash
**SHV 6800 Delay Start Hours**...should be applicable to yours, let me know if not.
SHV 4800 Delicate/Econo

SHV 4300 Delicate/Econo

2. Release program button.
a. For SHV 6803 and SHU9950 models:
The display will blink with a code of "0", "1" or
"2". You are in program mode.

If the display blinks with a "0", you will hear
no signal (indicates OFF).

If the display blinks with a "1", you will hear a
LOW volume signal.

If the display blinks with a "2", you will hear a
HIGHER volume signal.

b. For all other models with the beeper
function:

If the machine beeps, then the Cycle
Completion Signal has been enabled.

When you push the button again and it does
not beep, it means that the Cycle Completion
Signal has been disabled.

3. To change the program, press the program
button until the desired setting is selected.

4. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of
program mode.

* At the end of a wash cycle, the beeper will sound
off two times, and again every 15 minutes until the
dishwasher is turned off.

Hope this answers your question and provides you with what you needed.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Please take a moment to rate the solution provided and a short testimony if you feel it's warranted, but also let me know if you require further assistance.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

How can I turn off the beep sound on my exxcel

I've just found my instruction manual and managed to turn the volume off on mine after 6 months of annoying beeping.
You turn the programme selector to off then turn it one programme to the right, press the rpm button and keep it pressed while turning one more programme to the right, release them both and a number should be displayed on screen I think volume 2 is the default one. You then click the "ready in" button until desired volume is reached. You have a chioce of zero through to four. After volume is set turn programme selector to off position. The annoying beep should be no more!! Hope this helps others.

Loud Beep on media control panels volume buttons.

I had the same problem. They sure make it tough for you, don't they? Urgh... it was annoying. Anyway, this is what fixed it for me, a solution from another site:

In the control panel, under sounds. Go to the speaker properties, and then the levels tab and mute the computer beep level.

Jensen vm9311 dvd indash volume is loud when i turn on car

Heres the best way to fix; Quote from manual "Programmable Turn-On Volume (Pg.12) This feature allows the user to select a turn-on colume setting regardless of the colume setting prior to turning the unit off. To program a specific volume level, push and hold the VOL/LOC/DV know (6) while the yellow volume bar is displayed on the screen. The unit will beep two times to confirm your turn-on volume setting." Ah i had the same problem. I turned to the manual and it worked for me :) Good Luck, Ern
