Vista compatibility with canon i960 printer

you downloaded drivers off of the canon website?

Try going to the Canon website and download your software. ( http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010647.asp )

Uninstall any software that you may already have install for the Canon by going to ' add & remove programs ', uninstall your canon printer by going to ' printers & faxes, disconnect your Canon printer from your computer.

Reboot your computer.

Install the Canon printer software that you downloaded.

Hook up your Canon printer to your computer.

The software should install automatically. If not, re-install the software you downloaded.

Windows Vista drivers are available here. Be sure and download/install both the driver and the MP Toolbox (listed under Software). If you currently have other drivers installed, be sure and remove them completely before trying to install the new drivers.

Their is a VISTA driver availavble for your model printer. Download and install.

Download the VISTA driver from the CANON website and install it. If you still have problems download service pack two and irnstall it first.Then instal the printer driver. DO not install VISTA service pack three with out installing two first.

try this link, with more current drivers, first.

go to the part of the program that deals with compatibility of programs. I never liked vista so I never installed it. anyway in the compatibility box choose windows xp and run it. worse comes to worse go to www dot downloads dot com and download the drivers for your printer FOR vista.
