Hi, Check the pump. Tip the washer back after the load finishes and see if the pump is dripping. The pump is located on the front side of the motor. If the leek seem to be in the front center of the washer, it is probably the pump. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Every time we wash there is water leaking, not sure were the water is coming from. i have checked the hose.

Hi.

Check that the leak is not coming from inlet valve itself. If the leak is from underneath the washer check drain pump hoses. You may need to disassemble the washer pulling up the top panel and accessing the drain pump at the bottom to find the leak.

Leaking water

When your Maytag top load washing machine leaks water, you will need to check the following parts until you find where the leak is coming from.

The water valve: The first place you need to check is behind the washer. Check the two fill hoses and the water mixing valve.
Check for pinholes or cracks on the plastic body of water mixing valve.

Remove the front panel : The next thing you need to do, is to remove the front panel so you could see the tub and the hoses.
Set the washer on the regular cycle and turn it on so it could start filling.
Use a drop light and check all the hoses under the washer as the washer is filling.
Make sure to keep your hands away from any moving parts.

The pump : If the hoses are ok, check the pump for leaks. When the bearings in the pump wear out, that is when the pump will get noisy and that could cause your Maytag washing machine to leak water.

The stem & seal : Another place that the washer could leak water from, is the stem & seal on the holding tank.
When washer leaks water from the stem & seal, the water will leak down the center of the transmission.
When the stem & seal need to be replace, the tub bearing has to be replace at the same time. This is an expensive repair if you have to pay someone to do it. If you do it yourself it will cost you about $110.

Leaking water when washer begins to load water.

Fist place to check is the outlet hose at the back of the machine it will leak as soon as water enters the tub, see if is leaking there, if it is you just have to tighten the clamp . if not there are a few hoses inside of the machine that may need clamps tightend also. The motor is seperated from the water so that wont be leaking. It could also be the electric water inlet valve that is leaking. let me know what you find out !

In the spin cycle water leaks onto the floor,

If the hoses at the back are not leaking, you need to check the drain hose lines, aksi check that the machine is not dripping from the inlet valve hose, or because of a leak from the door gasket.

Washer leaking water on floor

Need to check drain pump and its hose connections. If its not from the drum seal then that's usually where the leaks occur.

Washer leaking

bestsy, your pump could be weeping. Sometimes they will develope a small leak and sometimes they let loose. They are easy to change, 2 clips and 2 clamps. Check out the photo, other things to check would be the hoses at the fill valve and the drain hose. Sometimes overloading will cause an oversplash. Catriver..post back.

HELP!! fisher and paykel intuitive clothes washer: error code 36

schmotty, An error code "36" means Water leak fault: The Motor Control Module has needed to top up the water level more than 4 times during agitate. This is excessive, as normally only one or two top ups are required to replace the air that has escaped from a full load during agitate. The most likely cause is that the machine is siphoning. The other alternative is that the machine has developed a leak.Thats what you have to do: Primary Source: Pump System. Action 1) Check the height of the drain hose outlet. Minimum 33.46in / 850mm, maximum 47.24in / 1200mm. 2) Check that the hose guide is fitted and check that the hose does not protrude more than .78in / 20mm beyond the guide. Secondary Source: Mechanical. Action: 1) Check the pressure tube connections on the outer basket and Motor Control Module. 2) Check that the drive shaft seal and the pump housing seal have not developed a leak. Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module. Action: Replace Motor Control Module. Gendos...post it
