Question about Bravo OH-104R 10.4 in. Car Monitor
Thanks for your time. My monito only flashes the pitcure for second when I put a dvd movie in the player unit. I thought it was the dvd player at first but when I plug a camcorder to the monitor unit from teh side rca inputs i get the same response. The problem I found out is that the picture brightness is very very soft. It only shows the full picture in brightness for a second and then shuts to very very low light. I tried to turn up the brightness but no luck. It sounds like to me that this monitor is going bad. If so, can it be fixed? and is it worth it? or is it something i can fix myself??? what part is the most common problem??
thasnk again for your time.
If it's still under warranty, rma it. the website for your product manufacturer is http://www.bravoview.com/
I can't say for sure if it is worth repairing or not, it sounds like either the backlight tube or inverter is going out, if it is not under warranty you can disassemble it and locate the backlight inverter then do a search for the part number. unfortunately without the inverter part number i can't give you an idea of the repair price.
the most common problems i have seen with these units are broken or loose ribbon between monitor and processor, blown backlight ccf (black screen, but can see display using a flashlight), inverter or ccfl dying (dim picture, blotchy brightness, flickering brightness)
hope this helps
