Phone them for balance enquiries, they are don't to discuss on a website with 11 MILLION annual viewers. You can also get your balance via text message.

The easiest means of obtaining account balances, says Telkom, is via its balance enquiry SMS system. Customers should send an SMS with their 10-digit Telkom landline telephone number, followed by a space and the account-holder's ID number, from a mobile phone to 012 321 0210.

The voice mail and message service for your landline phone is provided by your landline service provider. If you did not receive a printed booklet directions for your landline phone service, I suggest you call your landline telephone service provider Customer Service number (Telkom) and ask for one.

From the Telkom web site, this looks like the number to call:

That depends if you are using a mobile or landline to call.

If a mobile, dial in the required number then press send/call, usually the green button.

If on a landline, dial any required number for an outside line if in an office, then dial the required number.

When the person on the other side answers you speak

Contact your phone service provider and inform them you want DSL only ... no voice.

If the charges appear on your landline Bill call customer care and ask what changed

Look again, gotta be threre - if still cannot find just enter "changing rings for ----" on google and see what pops up.

Contact your ISP to get the landline number which is assigned to your line, even if it is only being used for broadband DSL. This isn't an issue with your router so much as an issue with your account and your ISP.

The + is to be substituted for your international calling prefix in your country.
Most countries use 00 but check with your telephone company.
Ex if you have to dial +44 321 123 4567 you would dial 0044 321 123 4567
