Why is my Frigidaire affinity showing code E68?

Hello - Typically error code E68 can indicate one or two issues. First problem could be that one of the keys (buttons) is stuck closed (active). Enter "Function Test Mode" and perform Key Test to determine which button is at fault. To perform the "Function Test Mode": Press and hold the START and CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The stuck key should blink. Carefully free the key and perform the test again. If button is free but the error code still exist, the electronic control will need to be replaced. Second issue could possibly be a current leakage to ground on heater or fuse opened. However, I would strongly suggest contacting a professional to the check the resistance of the heating element (should be approximately 14ohms) or the resistance between the ground and both heater terminals. It should be open when heater terminals are disconnected. If the readings are incorrect, replace the heating element.

Frigidaire Affinity dryer model AEQ7000ESO error code E68 (stuck button). Sometimes a 'stuck button' code really is a stuck button. I took the circuit board off the front panel.On the back side of the front panel, each button has 3 short plastic posts, 2 on one side and 1 on the other.The center part moves to push a longer piece that contacts the circuit board. When I push the top of a front stadium-shaped button, the center plastic piece moves too far, touches the short post, and sticks (maybe due to age). When I push the bottom of the front button, the plastic piece goes far enough to contact the circuit board and not far enough to touch the short post. To prevent a stuck button, we now press the bottom of the front buttons.So far so good. If it happens again, I plan to shave or file a little bit off the top edge of the post to give it more clearance. 1st photo: pencil points to stuck parts. 2nd photo: unstuck parts, 3rd photo: the front of our dryer.

this is a fault code that means there is a stuck key on the board you may have to remove the control panel and check the keys if this does not work you may have to replace the panel or control board

HELLO,
I HAVE A FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY DRYER (AEQ6000CE32). WHENEVER I PUT THE CLOTHES IN IT JUST SPINS FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND SHUTS OFF BEFORE THE ALLOTTED TIME. THERE IS NO HEAT IN THE DRYER. ANY SLOUTIONS?
