Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer

1 Answer

Printing is very slow

The printer is connected wirelessly through network. 2 days ago it just started printing very very slow; about 2 minutes for 1 page that is black and white. The printer printed fast before via wirelessly. The signal of the router is very strong also.

I'm having a similar problem. However, I am connected via USB and all of a sudden, my printer started printing extremely slow. I am printing color documents but it never took this long before. If I click on the printer icon, it's appears to be spooling and the total size it 96MB. I did have a problem with a virus recently and that seems to be when it started. I've had to run several McAfee scans and Stinger and Spybot also. It seems to have cleared it although I had to manually delete several files. But my printer continues to be extremely slow...Any ideas?

How dow I get an install cd to setup wireless printing

1. Turn on the wireless radio on the printer.
2. On your laptop, open the list of wireless networks that you can connect to. You'll see a network named 'hpsetup'. You'll need to connect to this network. Ignore any security warnings and proceed with the connection.
3. Wait for 1 minute after this is done. Then print a network settings page from the printer. It should have an IP address starting with 169.254. This means that the printer is connected.
4. Click on the Support & Drivers link at the top of this page and download the drivers for the Photosmart C4385, and install it.

How to set up wireless printing with disc

Here are the minimum details needed to answer this kind of question:

1. Operating System :
Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista?
2. Printer make/model:
(this is important to determine the wireless properties of printer)
3. Network Connection:
(is the laptop connected to the same network as the printer)

If you are working with a new printer (see item 2) and you have a network on which you have your notebook connected, there are so many possible ways to connect the printer to the network that it's hard to say.

If you are working with an established printer that has wireless services running, you may need to know either the Network Name of the printer or the IP Address of the printer.

Your best bet is to make use of hp's extensive Wireless Printing Center (see link below).

1. You could try to reinstall the Z2420 driver on your computer. 2. Try to reset the wireless network adapter of your printer. Wireless printing

The MP830 does not include the ability to do Wireless Network printing. You can however, connect this printer to one of your Windows or Mac PCs and share it on the network, which is wireless, therefore accomplishing the same thing.

1) Install the Drivers and Software that came with your Printer.
2) Go to the Control Panel > Printers & Faxes
3) Right-click your printer and click "Sharing"
4) Choose Share this Printer, and give it a name.
5) You can then on, use the Add Printer Wizard on any other Windows PC and install it by searching for network printers.

Step 1 is the same for Mac
2) Go to System Preferences > Sharing
3) Check the box for Printer Sharing
4) Any Mac on the network can see it!!
5) Added treat: go to http://apple.com/bonjour to install bonjour for Windows, using this software you can print using any Mac printer on any PC
