The Message Waiting Indicator lamp on the Mitel SS4025 is set and cleared by the main system controller (back room equipment) and is further dependent on the integration between the system controller and the voice mail server. Depending on the type (age) of Mitel main control, the voice mail could be built-in to the Mitel system itself or a separate stand alone server, such as an Octel (Avaya) system. In any event this problem needs to be reported to your phone system maintenance person. Any competent Mitel System tech should be able to resolve the problem for you quickly.
That just means there is a call me back message. If you push messages and clear the ones you have then the light will stop blinking.

the port that the phone is connected to isn't working properly. Contact your system administrator or vendor.

it's because the operator set a message to your phone. You need to leave the handset on the cradle and push the message button. Read the display and follow the prompts. You should be able to clear the message.

This is a feature code set by the voicemail system. If the code isn't set properly in the voicemail server, then the lamp won't light. Here's a few troubleshooting steps for you to follow...
Are others having the trouble? If so, then it's a system wide problem and you should contact your vendor to have it looked at.
If it is isolated to your phone... swap phones with another user with a 4025.... leave a message in your mailbox... did it light the lamp? If so, leave a message for the other user and see if it lights the lamp on your phone at their desk... did it light the lamp? If NOT, then you've got a bad phone and you should contact your vendor to have the set replaced/repaired.

the mitel superset is a wonderful unit. First try to clear all messages on the unit completely if this problem continues then the problem is from either the message sector memory which has some errors on it or the unit processor. When the unit processor is getting faulty then it gives such problems as blinking lights and and failed calls.
First try to check the memory system for system errors these system errors usually could be caused by improper deleting procedures or misuse of the system. Get an expert to check the system for you to establish which of these is the problem for it.
