Unclear manual instructions

On page E8 of the instruction manual for my new Rival 10 cup rice cooker/steamer it says to measure an appropriate amount of water and add to inner pot when using the steaming basket. What is an appropriate amount of water?

I lost the plastic measuring cup that came with my Rival RC100 rice cooker, the markings on the inside of it tell's me the water amount I just need to know how much rice the cup held.

The measuring cup you lost is equivalent to 3/4 cup or 180ml and this can make approximately 2 and 1/4 cup of cooked rice.

I lost the measuring cup. Can I use a regular measuring cup? If so, what amount would I use? For 1 cup, 2 cups,or 3 cups? I'm sure there is a solution. Thanks.

1 cup of rice in the rival cup does NOT equal 1 cup of rice in a regular measuring cup. I lost mine too and I've found that using 3/4 cup of a regular measuring cup works with the lines on the inside of the pot

All of the rice cooker makers advise: a 2:1 ratio That is, 2 cups of water for every cup of rice.
