Is it hard to change a magneto on a 5.5 hp Tecumseh engine?

How old is the gas in the tank? If it is older than 2 months drain it out and put in fresh gas and try again. Have you seen spark jump across the spark plug gap? To check for spark I use a spark checker. One end goes to the plug and the other to the spark plug lead. If you have spark you see a light flash which is more easy to see.

Rigid 3300psi Pressure Washer chokes after engine warms up. Then looses water pressure. What is the problem and can I fix it?

if the engine slows then so will the pump... and so will the pump power.

engines are all the same and so just google "servicing engines"

an engine requires fuel - air - ignition and compression......

if your engine starts and runs then it must have reasonable compression so check / replace / clean the fuel and air filters...
check the condition of the spark plug / clean it / replace it

after these basic checks you move onto measuring the compression and checking the carburettor which requires a level of skill you may not have

oh, check the oil too !

if you have a make and model of engine (not pressure washer) the manufacturer may have service kits and service manuals... briggs and stratton / honda / tecumseh (you'll be lucky) / sumec linhai

Oil pressure is high should I do an oil change or will that help at all?

Oil pressure is the amount of hydraulic force used to move the oil through the engine parts. High pressure can be caused by
  1. wrong type of oil, 50 weight in an engine thatshould have 5W-30,
  2. plugged part of the oil system,
  3. sludge in oil passages or very dirty oil filter,
  4. internal engine part(s) being out of tolerance,
  5. clearances too tight on bearings or oil pump, or
  6. faulty sending unit or
  7. Gauge just showing high pressure.
So the first way to check is by just changing the oil, go ahead and do it. It might fix the problem.

I am geting oil in my air intaket

Check any crankcase venting used on your engine (pcv valve, breather system etc) if any are plugged it will develop positive pressure inside that will drive oil out. If venting is clear, you can have a worn or broken piston ring which will allow compression to enter oil pan which cannot be eliminated by vent system. Generally though you would have plug fouling on any cylinder with that problem. Overall ring wear from time and miles can also contribute to this condition...slight wear in all cylinders can amount to a certain amount of "blowby" which in total cannot be eliminated by venting system. In that case, if condition is not severe, sometimes changing to a high mileage type oil, a synthetic, or using an additive like marvel oil can slow down, stop or slowly reverse some of the problem.
What not to do: Do not use a single grade or heavier single grade general this will worsen the problem.

The pressure decreases when trying to wash

Dear rjrdiaz1013,
First you must find out where the real problem is. So first you must see that the engine works smoothly.(checking spark plug, spark plug gap, fuel mixture..etc..etc..). You have to do this by having no load at the pump. So remove water inlet hose and gun. If you manage to get the engine running smoothly,...then for sure you must service the pump. The pressure usually decreases from a faulty "Spill Valve". When the gun is closed the spill valve compresses and lets water circulate. When the gun is opened, the spill valve extends and closes an opening at its end. If this opening is not closing correctly, then the water keeps circulating and hence no pressure. My advice change the 'Spill Valve" by a new one. If the pressure is not 100%...then the next step change the suction valves. To change the suction valves, you must also change the high pressure and low pressure seals. Also better to change oil and oil seals. BUT the pistons must be examined. If the pistons have damage and cracks, these must be renewed, because they will ruin again the seals. In problems like these, I always fix the problem by changing the Spill Valve and the suction valves if need be.
When all necessary service is done, always try to start the machine with no load first. Also inportant that all seals and spill valve must be lubricated with the correct silicon grease.
