Turn t.v. on, stays on for 30 sec., then shuts off.

While the set is on does the picture and sound come on well, If so the fault is relative to the output stages, look for components heating up, dry soldering due to this heat cutting off the connection.
However if there is no picture or sound then the fault is in the processor , a test on voltages on diffferent cicuits must be checked when the set shuts down. This will indicate the defficient voltage , possible in the power or output board.

Good day.
Try to check if the fuse of your tv is busted. Also, try to look for any burnt parts.

TV remains in standby

PRoblem is in the start-up circuit for the high voltage power side of the power supply. The 5 volt, stand-by circuit, is obviously fine. Need to take voltage measurements on start-up to 32kv side of transformer to diagnose. Possible flyback transformer or voltage regulator.

TV problem

Any chance for a screenshot? The three colors are the three scanning electron guns firing on the screen instead of painting a picture, and yes, this is major repair. Not sure if it will be worth the repair cost, but you could get an estimate if you like the picture the set produces, when functional. Good luck!
