It was running at the time. I changed hoses on the unit because I was at a different location on the house. The unit stopped working. It had been sitting overnight with the hose hooked up, but was working the next morning. I used it for about two hours when it froze up and would not work.

Can you clarify, not working. Is water coming out or is the pressure low, etc.

What does it mean when water leaks from the bottom of the pressure washer

Most likely the o-rings and packing for water side of the pump is bad.
Depending on the age, wear, and if it is a vertical or horizontal version. It more cost effective to just replace the pump sometimes especially it is a vertical style and under 3000 psi.

I have a craftsman 675 pressure washer. It runs fine. But when I turn on the water, it dies. What is wrong with it?

either the engine is worn and has no power or the pump is overloading the engine........

squeeze the trigger before you turn on the water.....
try no high pressure hose to make sure the water exits the pump ok

The HE washer started flashing F Then H and said 14 minutes remaining. I tried stopping it, no avail, I tried opening the door, Couldn't, I even unplugged it for over a half an hour and it goes back...

FH: If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering
machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be
displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after
8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
If there is no water in the unit:
-Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned
on all the way.
-Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in
the inlet valves.
-Verify inlet valve operation.
If there is water in the unit:
-Verify drain pump operation.
-Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and
properly connected to tub and pressure switch.
1. Verify there is not a siphon problem.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves,
pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and
Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check all hoses for possible leaks.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power
6. Verify pressure switch operation.
7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and
measuring the resistance.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

Replaced al of the valves but still will not operate on high preasure. Will build to high preasure only for a couple of seconds then back to low preasure.

your bypass pressure valve is weak and needs replacing, its letting water pressure bypass the pump going to the pressure gun

Pressure washer lost pressure in the middle of a job

The pressure valve has stuck in the high pressure position. This prevents anymore inflow and hence no further water will be pumped.

Rebuild the valve... There are O Rings to replace and clean the bore with croocus cloth. Lube the O rings with plumber's grease... good as new! 15 minute job. Get EXACT sized O rings for the unit.

How do you drain any water that might be in the

Once you have finished with the machine, and it has stoped running and has the inlet hose disconnected., leave the engine switch in the off position and while holding the pressure gun trigger on, pull the starter a few times to pump out any excess water. If it has been a cold night you could leave the machine somewhere a bit warmer for half hour before using it.

Craftsman Pressure washer will not spray

your not missing anything, check the pump, they tend to go bad over time and may need replacing. The pump provides the pressure as well as the suction for the whole process, pulling water from the hose or tank and pushing it forcefully through the pressure washer line. If the motor is running and you have the water going through the line and to the pump, and no water is coming out, my guess would be the pump.

Pressure Washer quit running

I have owned four of those units. Every one of them did what you are experiencing or just wouldn't give me any pressure after only a few uses. The company was certainly no help. I gave up after four and bought a heavier gas model from Lowes. Hope this info helps.

No pressure from pressure washer

The "dump valve" inside the units pump, not engine is more than likly malfunctioning or bad. Try checking pump oil,buy 30 w pump oil and fill to line also ckeck black cone type turn knob marked +/- and turn to + for increase in pressure, also check water supply hose and if restricted ,unrestrict water line.
