T seems like there is a problem with the thermosat, or the compressor. Its not sensing the temperature being to warm to kick the compressor on and cool it down. OR the compressor itself id dead. Hope I could help.

2002 4 ton Bryant air conditioner shuts off, fan still runs but not cooling is problem in the controls in the attic or in the AC unit or both?

With a non heat pump it is a simple 24 volt AC control circuit. In the attic there is a relay that is actuated via the fan control wire directly from the thermostat. On the thermostat there is an auto/man switch that controls the fan. Manual the fan runs all the time. Auto fan turns on and off with the outside compressor.

If the system is not calling for cool and the fan continues to run the fan relay is sticking. common problem. Sometimes after running for several days the relay will stop sticking if not, replace relay.

If the system is calling for cool and the compressor stops I would still expect the fan to run until thermostat tells the A/C to off. Some compressor units include a safety switch or high-pressure cut-out switch A blocked internal valve bad control board or external fan in outside unit defective no air flow in outside unit.
High pressure cut out not good,

Suggest turning temp max cool and observe. If acceptable cool and the compressor runs without interruption all is good, except for the blower in the attic. Safely check relay in attic blower circuit.

Hope this helps.

I have an interkool 900 unit, cira 1998, fan blows but no longer cools- is it possible to add new freon/recharge? Or should I just get a new unit?

If it needs freon you first have to find where in the tubing. it leaked out. Then you have to silver solder the tubing to stop the leak. Then you have to buy a drier unit and silver solder solder it into the low pressure tubing. If there are no charge ports then you'll have to silver solder 2 of them in to attach the manifold gauge hoses to. Now you have to run a vacuum pump for an hour or so to remove all the air and moisture. Now place the freon 22 cylinder on a scale and get the amount from the data plate on the unit. Let that much freon in while the compressor is running. Its' that simple.

Hi. I recently installed 1.5 T, 3 * Split AC, LG. Whole day the AC works fine and no problem in cooling too. But once in 2 day outdoor unit start making thudding noise continously and does not stop for 4...

Hello

Sounds like the compressor is shuting down on high heat. There could be a couple reasons for this.
1 Check that proper voltage is being supplied to compressor.
2 Freon level may be low. This would be a service call.
3 Bad or intermitent connection at thermostat.
4 Main contacts to compressor sticking, usually burnt or pitted.

AprilAire 760 not running after installing new circuit board

I called the service company that put in my new furnace (FAmily Heating and Cooling in Detroit, very highly recommend these people)

Anyway they sent out a second service tech who determined that I would be better off having the humidifier wired to go on whenever the furnace fan was running instead of using the humidifier signal from the circuit board on the furnace. After he changed the wiring the unit runs fine. It is pretty likely that the circuit board was bad also.

Bad bearings on the motor or check the fan rotations . Air should always blow out the top and **** in through the sides or coils.!... Thank-you-very-much!

Cuisinart Private Reserve cwc-900 wine cellar stopped cooling

I also had one of these CWC 900 units that quit working. The interior temp was 77deg F and the outside was 70 deg F.
The exterior panel was very warm to the touch where the heat exchanger was.

Like a previous person stated, there are two fans. One on the control unit board and then the main cooling fan for the exchanger. In my case, this main cooling fan had quit working - allowing excess heat to build up.

Solution: Unplug the unit! Remove the side panel of the CWC 900. First remove the 8 "finishing" plastic plugs that hide the screws. This was done with a sharp point on an ice pick to pry them out. Then remove the 8 screws with a torx T10 driver. At this point, plug the unit in and lower the temperature setting. In my case the small fan kicked on and the larger one did not. Un plug the unit. If you try and manually turn the fa you will feel resistance. Remove the cooling fan and black housing w/ 4 phillips screws. seperate the wires from the cable ties and then unplug the fan - you may have to remove a small amount of a plastic type glue to unplug the fan. Remove the fan from the plastic housing w/ 2 phillips screws. This is a fan made in China and I was unable to find a replacement on the web. Remove the center sticker on the back with the fan model number. Remove the center black plastic plug with a sharp point. You will now see the end of the shaft and a small split keeper ring. This ring is made of plastic - be gentle. Pry it open and remove it from the shaft (KEEP IT). Once the keeper is removed, you will be able to pull and seperate the motor from the fan blade and expose the shaft. I was not able to remove the small bearing from the motor so I wipe the shaft clean, applied white lithium grease and the re-assembled the unit. Fan spun freely. Put everything back together and the unit should be fixed!

Hoped this helped.
