Question about Compaq Presario 5000 PC Desktop
All I know is my nephew did something and deny's doing anything.
I don't know if it's just a missing jumper ? (or what )
I have tried several different hard drives and video cards but absolutely NO PICTURE ON MONITOR !
now I have 2 compaq computers both 5000 series and not one shows any form of video !
Have you checked the bios settings?
You'll have to do some diagnostic work to figure this one out, but the links here should help you through the process, especially here and maybe here or here. Also pertinent may be this alert., or these instructions. You can use your home support page here to research HP further, if you wish.
Check the cables first, and swap them out if you have replacements.
Also helpful will be this article, or this one.
If you've been changing hard drives and so forth, and you reinstalled windows, are you sure that the drivers for your video adapter are loaded into the system?
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
