Question about HP LaserJet 3055 All-In-One Printer
Our Fax Activity Log shows numerous Comm Error 400 and Comm Error 356 codes after sending failures. A few faxes go through after multiple attempts.
There is tone on the line when we hook a phone to the "phone" jack on the printer. There does not appear to be a static on the line.
When we checked with some of the recipients that we are repeatedlysending to, they report no other known problems.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: No dial tone detected
It may be a bad modem on the copier. Plug your phone into the auxillary phone port on the copier and see if you get a dial tone. Also make sure that your cord from the wall is plugged into the line port and not the phone port.
