The batteries are in the film cassette. Finding the film may be a little tougher since they shut down the manufacturing plant a year or two ago.
Google Polaroid 600 film to see who might still be offering it. Good luck.

The battery comes in the same package of the film, altough there's no new film been mada AT ALL. If you find one buy as much as you can. There's no battery and no where to put it besides with the film.

Either your camera is broken or those film packs you used have gone bad. I hope it's the later case which can be fixed by using a different film pack. Impossible Project makes new film packs for Polaroid 600 series so better use those than old expired Polaroid film packs.

Poloroid spectra 2........Does it have a battery, and how do you get into it???

The battery is included in the film pack. All original film packs now have flat batteries, especially if cold stored. Refrigerated packs with flat batteries can be used if you convert the camera to accept an external 4.5v dc stabilised power supply such as an external battery pack.

New film packs are available from The Impossible Project, but they are not the same material as the original Polaroid ones. The website tells you about the differences in results and product behaviour.

I want film for Poloroid instant camera 600

Don't buy old ones from ebay! The battery cell (which works the flash) is attached to the back of the shot and like everything it has a best before date. The chances of the battery still working is slim and can end up being expensive and dissapointing!
I was told by a friend a while ago about some enthusiasts whom bought the old poloriod factory with the idea of reopening it. It is called the impossible project. They done it too! http://theimpossibleproject.com/
A pack of 8 is about £20 Also the way they have made them gives the shots a beautiful sepia quality. This means that even some withered old crow can be transformed into a mysterious enchantress!
I know that they are bloody expensive. But they do look good!

I really hope that this helps.
Also (on re-reading) I don't work for them-sounds like I do. But if they would like to send me free ones I will not say no!!!
Good Luck xxx

How to change the battery

Hello,

These types of Poloroid cameras do not have batteries. The batteries are actually included in the film packs. Whenever you replace the film, you will replace the batteries.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Here is a picture of the battery in the film pack:

Battery compartment

Hello,

You won't find a battery compartment. Poloroid instant camera have the battery as a part of the film pack. When you load the film...you get a new battery.

If you have not already found out, the film for these cameras can be pretty expensive.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Polaroid 600 Camera, won't take a picture.

How old is the film in it?

Polaroid film packs have a battery included (a polarpulse powercell, I think).

If its an old film, the battery can go flat and as far as I'm aware there's no way to get power in to it.

I would take the cartridge out, (effectively not use the last shot), try a new cartridge to see if its working properly, then send the old cartridge back to Polaroid, if you think its faulty.

Where do i buy a new batery????

Hello,

Poloroid instant cameras do not have a separate battery. The battery is actually enclosed within the film pack. It is intended to be able to power the camera for the 10 pictures it takes per pack.

For reference, here is a link to the camera manual:

Poloroid 600 wont turn on

This is a Polaroid 600, sometimes called the 'land camera' in an older guise, and this is the film and battery.

See, the battery in this camera comes in the film package. It is on the bottom of it, when you take out the cartridge when you have taken all 10 pictures (it only holds 10), you will see a paper and silver bag left at the bottom. There's your battery.
So if it really is a polaroid 600, when you replace the film, you replace the battery. If the battery quits before you used all 10 prints, there's nothing you can do but replace both of them and waste the rest of the shots.
I have worked with photos for years, and never seen a cartridge with more than 10 prints in it, for that camera. Not saying it's not possible, but I think you'll find there's only 10.
Good luck!
