Re: Pop saying check filter
Hi there...FIRST remove the dust filter and clean it with some compressed air, or you can leave it in place and use a vacuum cleaner hose to suction off the dust. Some projectors have a sensor that gets reset when the filter is removed. A lot don't. Check the onscreen menu for a reset option for the dust filter. This option may be only accessible with the remote control...DON'T reset the lamp hours! The most important thing with LCD projectors or any other projector, for that matter, is to keep the dust filters clean--think of someone putting their hand over your nose and mouth. The projectors emit a *huge* amount of heat and need plenty of air flow to remain cool. Also, the benefit of cool air keeps the delicate LCD panels from aging prematurely!---Rick

Air-Filter Cleaning the Air Filter The air filter should be cleaned as described below at intervals of approximately 100 hours. When the filter is used for approximately 100 hours, the message "CLEAN THE AIR FILTER" appears when the projector is switched on. 1 Switch the projector power supply OFF, and remove the power cord from the power outlet. 2 Clean the air filter with a vacuum cleaner. 3 Reset the Filter Timer using the function of the FILTER TIME on the OPTION Menu. Please refer to the description of the "FILTER TIME" on the Table 9: MAIN Menu. Replacing the Air Filter Replace the air filter if contamination cannot be removed, or if it is damaged. To order a new air filter see page 26 for contact information. 1 Switch the projector power OFF, and remove the power cord from the power outlet. 2 Remove the filter cover and the filter. 3 Replace the new air-filter and the filter cover. 4 Reset the Filter Timer using the function of the FILTER TIME on the OPTION Menu. Refer to the description of the "FILTER TIME" on Table 9: MAIN Menu.
Did you clean the air filter? You should vacuum it or use an air dusting can to clean it out.
Afterwards, reset the time in the menu. In the manual, it says you have to go in the menu to the OPTION submenu. Go down to FILTER TIME and hold the right arrow down for 3 seconds. It will then go into a mini-submenu that, when you press the up arrow, will reset the filter time to 0. The key is to hold down the right arrow initially for THREE+ SECONDS to get into the reset filter time menu. This is NOT the submenu that has RESET - EXECUTE. That is a different thing that doesn't reset filter & lamp time.
All you should need to do is go to the menu on the
projector, and find the Filter Timer. Hit the right arrow to select the filter
time, and then hold the rest button on the projector until you are prompted to
confirm the reset. Hit menu to confirm and it should now reset the filter
timer. Now cut the projector off and back on and the lights should stop
blinking. I hope this helps.
cutta, you will most often hear a click on boot then the fans start up and lamp will then fire. The picture will start to show up....at what point does it shut off? and do you hear a click when the tv is turning off? Is it the complete tv shutting down, fans and everything that turns off? Do you see any lights on the the front panel "POWER", "STATUS" or "LAMP", what are they doing?
If you see a Power, Status or Lamp light after it shuts off the below are what they mean if there is an issue.
POWER - STATUS - LAMP - CONDITION/ISSUE:
Off - Yellow - Off - Temp. high/dirty filter/excess room temp
Off - Off - Yellow - 4000 hrs. Lamp usage warning
Off - Off - Blink Yellow - Lamp Cover open
Off - Blink Yellow - Off - Air Filter Cover open
Off - Off - Red - Lamp failure (failed to turn On or broken)
Off - Blink Red - Off - Fan Has Stopped
Off - Red - Off - Circuit failure (short) or DVI cable disconnected
If you want to check for the last "Error Code", after you first turn the TV on, by pressing the front panel ?DEVICE? and ?MENU? buttons at the same time and holding them for 5 seconds, it activates the Error Code Mode.
The ?Power LED Light? blinks/flashes (1/2 sec delay) and then flashes again denoting a two digit Error Code indicating no problem or an error has occured since the last Initalization. i.e. "Power light" blinks 3 times (1/2 second delay) and then blinks 4 times then 1 sec delay and repeats a few times. This would mean "Error 34 - Lamp abnormality". See below for error codes.....
Error Code - Description or issue
12 - No Error detected, check Power Supply
32 - Lamp Cover is open
33 - Air Filter Cover is open
34 - Lamp abnormality
36 - Light Engine (DMD or LAMP Fan stopped)
37 - Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 - Lamp temperature high
39 - DMD temperature high
41 - Short is detected
44 - DVI cable between FMT & Engine disconnected.
Sorry for the long answer but it was an open ended question.
Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
