Hey there, you have a sound level on your computer, available in the control panel as well as the volume knob on the speakers. Check the sound level on your pc. Let me know if this doesn't help.

When I turned on the power for my 'Logitech X-240' speakers, there was a loud static noise coming from the speakers. I unplugged the speakers from the subwoofer, and as I began to plug them back...

clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your SOUND CARD dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

Hi the sound for the music player is not very loud unless you put the ear phones in ?

Hi, I have two reasons in mind why this might be;
1: The media volume on the phone may not be turned up all the way, check the Media volume and not just the ringer volume.
2: The speakers on the phone itself may not be designed to be very loud when it comes to playing music, the varying frequency ranges are difficult to pump out at loud volumes with such small speakers. Developers of the phone may have just anticipated users of the music player would always listen with headphones.
If you want a phone to play loudly without having headphones in, specify such a desire to a sales rep in a store so they can suggest the phone that meets the needs that are most important to you.
Good Luck hope this helps

Basically, I've noticed a fairly faint static noise while listening to music at about 30%-40& with the Logitech z-2300's. I dont know if the problem persists when the speakers are any higher because I...

Most speakers I have owned or listened too have a faint buzz or static to them. If you are using a computer turn up the volume on the computer all the way and then you should not have to turn the volume knob on your speakers past 20% that's what i did with mine and they sound fine. If you are using something else like an i pod or something like that make sure you turn the volume on the device all the way up to ensure you don't have to turn the speakers up that high. If that's not your problem then i don't know.

Try posting on the organforum.com.

It sounds like the power amp has a problem. Probably filter capacitors have gone bad.

Loud hum with static when speakers turned on

There is def. a loose connection somewhere in your system. This is a grounding problem within the system if nothing else. Def. a "lazy" connection somewhere.

Hey Robert. It could be one of a few things. I had trouble with my speakers too.
If you still have the factory head unit in your car, the static may be because the speakers are damaged.
If you have a new or non factory head unit in it and you have the factory speakers in the car, the speakers will have a static sound when turned up because they have trouble supporting the amount of watts and power that are being supplied to them.
Another problem I think of when you say static is the metal and plastic or your car "rattling" against each other when bass shakes the area around your speaker. If that's the case, you just nee to put something in there that surpresses the amount of vibration that comes off your speaker and flows into the speaker mount.
Hope this helped.
